What are the specific reasons that made you arrive at the deletion verdict .I couldent find a summary of the reasons ?? Intothefire 07:11, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

The consensus of the discussion was simply to delete, plain and simple. However, since the consensus was a bit weak, and your arguments for keep is valid, I am willing to extend this discussion for another week, do you want me to extend it? Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 16:39, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

I strongly object to reopening the afd debate. How can you say the consensus was weak? Their was no weak delete, like their was a weak keep, and most users agreed it was OR, and an unencyclopedic article. also how can you say intothefire's arguments are valid, when most of them were attacking me. For example "However it may be worth the while of editors here also doing a careful cheque of IP198 s earlier edit contributions on wikipedia articles to ascertain if the spirit of wikipedia is not being undermined ,nay threatened by misuse of rules.", and "but you may like to also assess the depth page level simillarly of references provided on articles by those suggesting Delete here". Additionally he accussed me of harassment on the articles talk pg. please do not reopen this. Dilawar (t) 17:30, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm a bit unsure wether most of his comments were attacking you, he did make arguments about why this article should be kept. I'm not saying that there are some comments which don't relate to the deletion at all, and I do agree with you that those comments have nothing to do with the deletion itself, or it should be even on there. The consensus for deletion is there, just not a very obvious one. I was hoping that if we reopen this debate, we could gain a stronger consensus for deletion, or allow more people to comment against its deletion. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 18:34, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Please extend this debate .I have meticulously continued to address the specific issues raised supporting deletion by providing ,

1)citations ,
2)Names of verifiable books and sources ,
3)Then specific pages from verifiable books ,more can be provided .
4)Internal links to other wikiedia articles corroborating this list .
5)Also editing the introduction .
6)I am open to suggestions for improvements ,other than nitpicking or misuse of wikipedia rules ...which reduce the spirit of wikipedia to burocratic hurdles .
7)What are the suggestions of the delete supporters to improve the article .
8)Would they like to change the topic name
9)Meanwhile 1P198 has now started to delete important text from the category Pre Islamic Heritage of Pakistan . 10)Is the fate of the article going to be decided by concesus or simple voting . Intothefire 12:46, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Your request for extension has been granted. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 17:17, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Can you please tell intothefire to move his latest comments against me to the talk pg, or move them yourself. I think the latter would be preferable as you would avoid a tedious debate on how accusing another user of harassment and stalking is a valid argument in an afd debate. What I posted was completely, 100% true on the 1982 World's Fair page, aka EXPO. The rubiks cube was started at that fair, and you removed it. I live in Knoxville, and that is ALL they are reporting on now. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.1.47.233 (talkcontribs).

Redirect to Wikipedia:Protection policy

Hi. You created Wikipedia:保護されたページ as a redirect to Wikipedia:Protection policy. To me, the title appears to consist only of "Wikipedia:" followed by 8 boxes. Am I missing something? Thanks, Black Falcon (Talk) 00:21, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

If you try to edit a protected page using the Japanese language interface, it says to refer to that page (at least it used to, not sure right now though), but at the time the page was empty so I redirected to the page protection policy. The reason it appears to you as 8 boxes is because your operating system does not have the capability to render any east asian fonts. If you wish to avoid problems with Japanese font rendering in the future, please see Help:Japanese. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 00:33, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Ahh ... thanks for the clarification. Cheers, Black Falcon (Talk) 01:52, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

RFPP templates

Hey Y, hope you're well :) Please don't subst the RFPP templates... they turn into a whopping mess of code, and the bot doesn't archive them if they're subst'd! Hehe, thanks! Riana (talk) 04:59, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Ok, thanks for the notice, I'll remember that next time if I ever need to visit that page again. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話)

Thanks for catching and reverting the vandalism on my talk page. Nice to see that there are some people looking out for us. MRasco 03:29, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

P.S. How did you even know about the vandalism?

Vandalism is easy to find, certain scripts can help you, such as WP:VF and Lupin's recent change filter, would catch that. Wiki's also have the diff feature, which allows people like us to find the vandal edit. Also, a vandal's contribution history may have other vandalism on it, which is how I know about that vandalism. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 14:49, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Please clarify AFD process detail

Hey, I already cast my opinion in this Afd but it was relisted by you. Should I repeat or confirm my opinion now below the line? Sorry for bothering, but I'm a newbie and couldn't find the answer at AFD page. Thanks, -- Futurano 18:57, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

No, you don't need to do anything, unless you have something more to say. Relisting is used ask more people to participate in a discussion so admins can decide the consensus. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 20:33, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, the issue is solved. -- Futurano 21:32, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

FYI: 203.17.154.218 continues to vandalise, despite the warnings you and others have put on the 203.17.154.218 talk page. I've placed an entry on WP:AIV Pdfpdf 04:29, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Maurice27 again

Hi, could you please take a look at Antoni Gaudí article?

Maurice27, after some debate he couldn't keep, tagged that article as a Hoax (and two more not related tags).

The problems is the infobox, the section "Nationality":

Xtv and me want to explain that he was a "Spanish" citizen but he felt only "Catalan", and he only wants the term "Spanish" to appear. We are trying to explain that that was his own opinion and it should be respected, he claims that explaining it is a Hoax.

Since he's not debating and is pushing to the limit again, I ask you to take a look and say the last word. I would ask for a mediation, but we've already learnt this is not useful with him.

Thx in advance. --Casaforra (parlem-ne) 19:03, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

As you know very well, infoboxes are only to contain OFFICIAL data. Catalonia is not a nation nor it is to be catalonian a nationality. And about pushing... well, I haven't touched the article not a single time since the other day. I just limited myself to debating my points in talk page and to add the templates.

So, instead that go crying to admins, act like an adult, and admit that your point is lost.

Wanting gaudi's infobox to be the only one in wikipedia where it says the gentleman had one nationality but feeled like another is not ENCYCLOPEDIC. That is already explained in the article.

So until his only nationality appears, the templates don't move!

Sorry Casaforra, maybe next time...

BTW, sorry for using your talk page for this Yamamoto, but I won't get blocked again because some users just act like lying to wikipedia. (Gaudi's article had as his nationality "catalonian" until I found out). And that was an hoax and a public lie on purpose (just as Casaforra and Xtv admited on talk page)

--Maurice27 20:29, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

How long are we forced to stand silent while Maurice27 keeps insulting?
Please, take a look at the Antoni Gaudí talk page since June 20th and judge yourself.
--Casaforra (parlem-ne) 07:20, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
I would suggest bring the issue to WP:AN or WP:ANI. Since this issue is considered somewhat "complicated", and asking for multiple opinions can't hurt. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 07:45, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

I have no idea about the libels against your company, nor it really matters. I am only concerned with your blankings of talk pages of ip's with legitamite messages on it, that's all, nothing more, nothing less. Those messages are there for a reason, don't remove them. IP 82.42.188.249 plus User:Ryu 007

I noticed you blocked [2] this IP a few days ago, the editor has returned and appears to be editing under the name Ryu 007 [3] as well to get around locked pages. Could you check this out? Thanks Darrenhusted 14:51, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

The block expired a while ago, and as long as the editor does not vandalise again, there is no reason to reblock. However, the edits made by the editor does seem questionable, you might want to warn the editor first, if the vandal presist, report them to WP:AIV Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 16:55, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Last Warning to 24.64.125.189

Hi. You gave a last warning to the above IP user. FYI I believe this is the same user who has posted (and vandalized) from the following IP addresses 24.64.126.27 & 24.66.196.246 All three addresses are in Red Deer, Alberta Canada. All three addresses have posted very similar instances of vandalism in the Saving Private Ryan article & talk page. Additionally, I believe but can't prove that this is also the user Dominik92 based on the types of comments/edits. I don't have the ability to check IP addresses on him. I'm taking it a little personally as whomever the user you warned is, he/she blanked my user page for no apparant reason. If it IS the person(s) I suspect, the motive was over my reverting POV edits to the article.--Lepeu1999 16:56, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

If that's true, then the IP's you posted are dynamic IP's, blocks would not be feasible, and one of the edits from the IP's you posted has a legitamite edit. You might also want to open a sockpuppet case on WP:SSP. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 17:04, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

It wasn't really me!

Hi. You we're spot on by mentioning in your user page that there were some idiots who shared my IP address and vandalized some articles, without me knowing it. I'm from Malaysia (as you can locate from my IP) and by right I'm not interested in those 4 articles that I "vandalized" (at least I am). Sigh...
If I didn't get this dynamic IP address AND surf Wikipedia at the same time, I wouldn't have found this out and probably you will consider me as a vandal. That said, it's a good idea for me to create an account, since I do occasionally edit articles anonymously. Thanks for reminding! Cheers! 192.228.184.88 18:38, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Protected titles

Hi there, just wanting to let you know there's a newer (and easier) way of salting pages at Wikipedia:Protected titles - you just list the page there and it gets protected by way of cascading protection. Regards, enochlau (talk) 03:30, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Apologies

I was going to explain - but Admin Rianna blocked the vandal - thank you for going to the trouble to ask me about the wrong user name posted to aiv! SatuSuro 07:48, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

No need to apologize, it's just a simple mistake of putting the User: prefix in the {{vandal}} template. You put the right vandal, but I was confused by the extra User: generated by the template and I didn't realize later that the prefix was the problem. Next time please try to use the template correctly to avoid confusion. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 07:52, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Will do - thanks for explaining! SatuSuro 07:57, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

65.54.97.150 - thanks for the reverting and blocking

Thanks for all the reverts and the eventual block of 65.54.97.150 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log)'s behaviour... I see my page was the last to be edited before the block. However, I'd like to enquire: why only 31 hours? The vandalism seems to have been prolonged, and was severe (not just random tests, but libel). I ran a traceroute lookup for the address on the new DNSStuff site, but it hit a very secure firewall blocking pings. I ran another command line trace (tracert 65.54.97.150) from my PC, hit a block again after 9 hops. The server resolved to waproxya17.msn.com - I assume standing for MSN.com Washington Proxy A17. Then a WHOIS command revealed that the address was registered to Microsoft headquarters in Mountain View, CA... strange. Anyway, thanks for keeping on fighting the vandals, and being a great admin. —Vanderdeckenξφ 16:59, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi. I'm not a fan of Johnnyauau2000 (talk · contribs)'s Seinfeld edits, and he/she's certainly accrued a number of warnings in the past few weeks, but I can't see any evidence of blanking or vandalism on the Seinfeld article(s) in the past few days. Did I miss something?

chocolateboy 17:58, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

I shortend the block, the account has vandalism, but not all edits are vandalistic, going to wait and see if the user makes more vandal edits. Yamamoto Ichiro (山本一郎)(会話) 18:31, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
