Blanking edit

([1]your post) why did you revert the blanking of the page I did, the page is just vandalism and is better blanked. Wneedham02 (talk) 22:21, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's not better blanked. If it's vandalism, it's better deleted.
The problem is, it's not obvious vandalism it doesn't qualify for speedy deletion: it should be taken to articles for deletion instead. I understand that the admins here consider blanking a page without a deletion reason to be vandalism!
...and since I'm new, you could've left me one of those pretty welcome messages, y'know. :( Sumimu (talk) 06:43, 18 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Circusdeluxe.jpeg) edit

Violation of Copyrights edit

I want inform you, that your upload File:Cask07.JPG was a blatant violation of copyrights. The image was stolen from GettyImages, Chung Sung-Jun, #74871500. Thank you very much. --Martin H. (talk) 02:07, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Seems like you did not name this source but claime authorship on the image (PD-"self"). Name your sources. If you cant decide if a source is ok or not other can decide. This source was realy bad, its probably a fan site with all images copyvios. The permission is worthless because the fansite does not have any copyrights. Maybe they got permission to use the image on their site, but not to give the image away to everyone for every purpose including commercial purpose - and thats what public domain means. Please clearify the source for your other uploads, make clear:
  • Who created the content, do you know the name or pseudonym of the photographer?
  • Where did he publish it, do you remember the website or printed source?
  • consider: Is the authorship maybe a claim of authorship like in the above case or is it correct and reasonable?
  • Is the permission you got for everyone and every purpose or is it for Wikipedia only? Is commercial reuse allowed, is it allowed to modify the image?
  • Do you still have the written permission and can forward it to WP:OTRS?
If you must answer any of the above questions with No you should better delete the image. --Martin H. (talk) 13:19, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I mentioned nothing about the setlist being untrue. If you read the edit summaries, it states that the act titles have no source, thus they are deemed untrue unless you can provided a source for them, otherwise, it will remain and continue to be reverted to a numbered list. File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Shaynetour07.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 20:06, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

any official source please?--Chronisgr (talk) 21:43, 19 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

But how can you trust someone you don't know. For example i can make a website and do such "estimations" and then claim how "official" they are. Besides, i don't think wiki-mods will let unofficial sites be sources. --Chronisgr (talk) 16:19, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I Am… Tour protection edit

I put the protection on before because of massive edit warring (and particularly, WP:BLP concerns). However, the current vandalism is pretty small and I wouldn't want to keep the actual useful anonymous edits away. You may want to consider a small quick notes on the talk pages asking something basic like "we have sources for those dates and places, please don't change them without another source." I find that stops a lot of people who think they are helping. Feel free to list the article at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection if you still think protection is needed. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 11:47, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Inspirefragrance.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Inspirefragrance.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 02:32, 22 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Gilbert Saldivar edit

The article Gilbert Saldivar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No significant coverage in independent reliable sources able to be found to prove notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The-Pope (talk) 09:02, 4 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Dres Reid edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Dres Reid, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the page that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 89.252.128.80 (talk) 22:06, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Dres Reid for deletion edit

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. RA (talk) 21:08, 11 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Non-notable, unsourced concert tour fails both WP:GNG and WP:CONCERT TOUR.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
