Sodium sulfate edit

Hi Wim,

I suspect the following quote from the Sodium Sulfate article is "controversial" or just wrong. I searched www.goldrefiningforum.com and googled the web for verification (without success) and then posted the quote on www.goldrefiningforum.com, but no-one as yet is able to verify. Members of the forum have shown willingness to test, but some additional details of the process by the original author would be useful.

"Lately, sodium sulfate has been found effective in dissolving very finely electroplated micrometre gold that is found in gold electroplated hardware on electronic products such as pins, and other connectors and switches. It is safer and cheaper than other reagents used for gold recovery, with little concern for adverse reactions or health effects.[citation needed]"

  • Hi "Gratilla", I traced the change to a six-contributions editor with only an IP number, back in January 2007. Although the edit at the time suggests a copy/paste action, I can't find any other trace of the remark either. With the clear feedback of the Gold Forum people to support the text as 'just wrong', I have simply deleted the whole paragraph. After eight years a good improvement. Proposed deletion of Svensk Etanolkemi edit

The article Svensk Etanolkemi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The issue with a picture of colourless crystals is that the chemical nature of the substance in the picture is unverifiable [not specific enough to verify]. Ideally all pictures of colourless crystals except those like   (rock salt), which has other information, should be removed. Petergans (talk) 11:03, 4 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
