Please see: Discussion move and Specific proposal Your participation and acceptance would be appreciated. RlevseTalk 21:18, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi there; just a friendly reminder that we really need your input on the proposal being discussed here. Without it, we can't craft a solution which is acceptable to everyone, and without indicating your willingness to go along with a solution, the whole process could fail. Thanks in advance, --Haemo 19:34, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

user name edit warring

I have opened an ANI thread on it, your comments welcome. Thanks Taprobanus 21:22, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Withdraw

Please kindly take my name of the agree list since my request of having Indrancroos deleted has been denied. Until then, I cannot participate in such activities. Thank you. Wiki Raja 05:28, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

All related articles are subject to a 1RR restriction for 3 months. Violations will be dealt w/ firm actions such as NPA and others. So you being on or off the list is irrelevant. Please refer to this report for more info. Thanks. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 05:42, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
I strongly urge you, Wiki Raja, to reconsider. Not participating will only make things worse for everyone and perpetuate the problems. I urge this of all not participating.RlevseTalk 09:51, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Wikiraja one has nothing to do with the other, further just because you agree or disagree doesnot mean any SL related articles will not follow the guidelines established. Everyone will be subject to it, you agreeing to it only shows goodwill to Wikipedia community. About your Indrancroos account I suggest you take it up with WP:OVERSIGHT as it had privacy concerns. Thanks Taprobanus 13:10, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Excellent idea.RlevseTalk 13:13, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice. I shall reconsider staying the course. Regards. Wiki Raja 19:38, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

hi raja regarding Aimperumkappiyam

hi raja, I read article regarding Aimperumkappiyangal and followed the respective links. I feel they are totally insufficient and very litte. They require a heavy face lift. Please request some tamil authors to update the same. regards, anand.s —Preceding unsigned comment added by IndiWorld (talkcontribs) 12:34, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

The link requested by you

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Five_Great_Epics_of_Tamil_Literature

Also the stories that are given for the Silapathigaram, Seevaga Chinthamani etc., are too small. Please support in improving that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by IndiWorld (talkcontribs) 06:26, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

WP Malaysia December 2007 collaboration of the month

Hi there, based on this month's total votes, our collaboration of the month will be none other than our capital city as well as Malaysia's primate city of Kuala Lumpur! Please feel free to make improvements on the article, or comment or give ideas on ways to further improve the quality of the article. Thanxzsz. kawaputratorque 04:24, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Request

Hi, it has been a long time since we last talked. I know that the Tamil words for paternal uncle are Peri'yappa (father’s elder brother) and Chi'thappa (father’s younger brother) but can you write both words in the proper Tamil script. Thanks! GizzaDiscuss © 06:54, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

South India

Hi Wiki Raja,

I would like to invite your attention in to the discussion happening at Talk:South_India#South_Indian_States. Some users think that Maharashtra and Orissa are also be considered as South Indian states. Some others think the opposite. Your comments on the issue will add value.

Thanks in advance, -- Rajith Mohan (Talk to me..) 05:02, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism

Hi, I just read your comment on WP:ANI, and I would like to point you towards WP:VANDAL, which indicates what to do with vandalism. I'll give you a short summary. When you see that someone commits vandalism, you revert the vandalism (like you did, which is good work in itself). You then take a look at the talk page (an possibly the talkpage history) of the person who vandalised. You can then leave a warning message on the talkpage of the vandal. vandalism message start with {{uw-v1}} (user warning vandalism 1) and go up to {{uw-v4}}. If a warning {{uw-v4}} is in place, you can report the vandal on WP:AIV, the vandalism noticebord. It is usualy quick to respond, within minutes, or even seconds of the reporting. It might be a good idea to check the users contributions for more vandalism, you might just pick up something nobody else did before. There is a plethoria of warning messages, and if you want to learn more about them, look at WP:TT. I hope that helps, and happy editing! Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 23:40, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Sorry

Sorry, apart from bits and pieces, I don't have in-depth scholarly knowledge about 'Tamil civilization'. Also, I'm not too comfortable joining Wikiprojects related to ethnicity or race. Anyway, thanks for your invite :-) All the Best! Take care! -- 01:31, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

December 2007

Please stop assuming ownership of articles. Doing so may lead to disruptive behavior such as edit wars and is a violation of policy, which may lead to a block from editing.

This refers to the following edits, in which you replaced the content of a template with a transclusion to a template in your user space (User:Wiki Raja/Sri Lanka Conflict template (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)): [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] While I admire the ingenuity of this idea, it is obviously gaming the system. I hope you can find a way to actually use your ingenuity in a more constructive way. — Sebastian 07:24, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Sri Lankan Tamil militant groups

I took some time off and improved the article from level zero to level 1 (level 100 being the FA status). It is a subject that can be made into an FA one day but that is after I am done with Jaffna Kingdom. I created a section on Paramilitary activism. Please cite it for me and also if you want when you have enough material you can create another article on Paramilitary activism in Sri Lanka as a seperate article and link it to it as its main article of that section. Thanks Taprobanus (talk) 23:48, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

About Tamilnadu Portal page

Hi, I was shocke to see the Tamilnadu portal page entirely outdated and with many broken links. Is anyone working on it? I would like to revamp and update it regularly. Is there a group that is doing it? sriks8 (talk) 06:40, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

WP Malaysia: January 2008 collaboration

Srilankan tamil diaspora

Hi WikiRaja, The second edit [8] was not done by me. If you carefully observe., it was removed by User:Inbetweener and probably added by some unknown ip editors. But anyway no problem.

Regarding the first edit, you might be benefited from this... http://www.priu.gov.lk/Cons/1978Constitution/Chapter_04_Amd.html The govt of Srilanka constitution website states that Tamil is also an official and the national language of SriLanka. What I thought was that, Tamil was only an official language and not a National language (The way how it is in India and Singapore). Which is why I made that edit. I don't have any problems with changing it. Thanks, Mugunth(ping me!!!,contribs) 01:22, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Again, I don't understand why CIA fact book is full of errorneous data... Not only for Sri Lanka but also for India. [9]. It says Hindi is a national language of India when it is not!!!

Anyway thank you for pointing out... Mugunth(ping me!!!,contribs) 01:28, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Hmm.. I see you have been invited for discussion on South India before? A lot of problems are there with that article. Can you give your opinion on the talk page here, if you are interested? Mugunth(ping me!!!,contribs) 01:31, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Impressive Work

I've been observing for quite sometime. You have been doing extremely impressive work in Wikipedia. Your userpage is highly informative. I'm extremely sorry for not joining your project. I personally dont feel the name 'Dravidian civilizations' or 'Dravidian people' is right. Instead something like 'Tamil civilization' could be used. Anyway, thankx. Bye. tc.-Ravichandar 03:13, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. Actually Wikiproject Dravidian civilizations was chosen to promote Tamil, Telugu, Malayalee, and other similar groups. Thus, Dravidian civilizations is a family of related ethnicities and languages in South Asia. There is not much info on these groups as compared to the information covered on Indo-Aryan civilizations. There is a lot of work to be done, which is being done. Furthermore, Wikiproject Dravidian civilizations can be used as a platform to create other Wikiprojects focussing on a particular civilization such as that of the Tamils, or Telugus, or Brahuis, and so forth. Therefore, I will consider the idea for a Wikiproject Tamil civilization. Please let me know if you are interested. Regards. Wiki Raja (talk)

Regarding reversions[10] made on January 24 2008 to Talk:Bharatanatyam

You have been blocked from editing for a short time in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule . Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.
The duration of the block is 2 weeks. Nishkid64 (talk) 07:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
The duration was set for 2 weeks because this is not the first time you have engaged in disruptive edit warring over the same project templates on user talk pages. If you recall, I issued a 72 hour block for the same type of editing back in September 2007. Nishkid64 (talk) 07:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
