Hi, I had a look at your draft. Unfortunately I don't think that this is really viable as its own article, as it has several issues.

• This is written more as an essay than a Wikipedia article, as it has personal observations and original research on the topic. For example, opinions should be left out of articles unless they're specifically attributed to a person making them in the source material. As an example of original research, the work states that Title IX caused an increase in women's sports. The issue here is that while that may be true, there may be other factors that were more responsible for this, such as increased funding and such.

• You included information about the purported rape of a female freshman by a fraternity member. This doesn't really fit into the prior parts of the article, which dealt with Title IX in athletics. While Title IX does apply to the entirety of a school, not just athletics, this is a fairly big leap. An article about Title IX at a specific university should cover all of the history of this at the university.

• All of the sources for this are primary, meaning that they seem to have been released by the UoM or by people affiliated with them. All of the content was either written by the university or by students at the university. This second part raises an issue as well when it comes to editorial oversight, as we can't guarantee that the work had a strong enough oversight. Some of the primary sources may be stronger than others, but it's still an issue that would potentially impede their strength as a source.

That aside, this topic needs to have coverage in independent and reliable sources in order to show where this topic is notable enough for its own article. This is especially important when it comes to topics like this, which are typically controversial.

I would normally suggest adding it to the university page, however the article is a featured article, meaning that it's considered to be of the highest quality on Wikipedia. As such, there are more people watching the page. If you are interested in making a section for the main article I would recommend that you discuss this on the article's talk page first.

I'm very sorry about this - I just don't think that it would be a good idea to move this work live, as it would be likely to be removed in its current state. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:41, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
