J.J. Green

edit

Hello again. The article J.J. Green has two big, closely related problems right now: It really, really needs more reliable sources, and it needs to clearly explain why Green it notable enough for an article.

Wikipedia has notability guidelines for biographies with specific points for actors, WP:NBIO and WP:NACTOR. You should take a look at that page before going any further. Right now there are only two usable sources in the article, and it doesn't look like he's quite notable yet. It may just be too soon for an article about him, in which case it should be deleted until more reliable independent sources are written.

The other big problem is that it included a bunch of info that was not reliably sourced. Neither source mentions his parents' names, his birthday, or the frat he belongs to, for example. Wikipedia has very strict rules regarding biographies of living people. Sources are not optional. Because you know that info, but did not provide a source, if you have a personal or professional connection with Green, or are Green himself, you absolutely must read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Additionally, Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide may be helpful, too.

Before proposing the article for deletion (WP:PRD), I looked for additional sources, but did not find any. If you know of any usable sources, please add them to the article soon, or I will formally nominate it for deletion, which will invite other editors to review the article's notability (WP:AFD). Incidentally, IMDB can be listed as an additional link, but isn't usable as a source on Wikipedia. WP:ELPEREN explains why, if you're curious.

I will keep an eye on this page if you have any additional questions. Thanks. Grayfell (talk) 00:32, 2 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
