There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. Speedy deletion nomination of User:Welser profile/Welser Profile

edit

A tag has been placed on User:Welser profile/Welser Profile requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. creffett (talk) 01:39, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

The goal of this new Wiki article was to make the Welser Profile article (which already exists in German!) also accessible for non-German speakers. Welser Profile is a globally acting company and therefore wants to make sure that there are no language barriers for anyone interested in getting some details about Welser. The article does not advertise or promote the company or anything else, since there are just basic facts and some history in the article (like in numerous Wiki articles about other companies!) The original idea was to just translate the German article, but since this user is not an "experienced editor", this was not possible and a different approach had to be chosen. Regarding the username: There were no problems of that kind when the German article was created, so it was assumed that there would not be a problem for the English article either.

Decline reason:

The German Wikipedia is a different and separate project from the English Wikipedia. Each version has its own rules and procedures. What is acceptable on the German version is not necessarily acceptable here. One example of this is usernames; while business names as usernames are permitted and even encouraged on the German Wikipedia, they are not allowed here on the English Wikipedia. Our username policy requires that usernames indicate that specific individuals are operating their accounts. In addition, here we are not interested in what companies want to say about themselves or what they consider to be their own history. Wikipedia is only interested in what independent reliable sources state about article subjects. Please review conflict of interest and paid editing. You won't be unblocked to edit about your company or subjects related to your conflict of interest; if you want to edit about other subjects, subjects for which you have no conflict of interest, please tell what those might be. You will need to follow the instructions in the block notice to propose a new username and request unblock simultaneously. If you only wish to edit about your company, you won't be unblocked- though this does not affect your ability to edit the German Wikipedia or other language versions. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 12:42, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
