Information icon Hello, Davidlewisgallery. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Lucy Dodd, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 00:36, 16 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you. -- Ed (Edgar181) 00:55, 16 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

To Whom It May Concern, I unfortunately and very naively made my first username Davidlewisgallery, which begat the COI and block that I am trying to have reviewed. My username is now changed to "Wellmeetagain", in reference to Vera Lynn's song featured at the end of "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb". I would very much like to remove the current block on my username. As editor Voceditenore noted on the Conflict of interest/Noticeboard page at 16:07 10 February 2017, the Lucy Dodd article, in which I was the main editor of and was more than likely the very effort that placed me in this block, carries a fair amount of notability. My interest in becoming an active Wikipedia editor is to contribute to pages featuring artists and art movements in post-modern and contemporary art, various literature and writers, and to simply be a participant in the wonderfully democratized space that is Wikipedia. I have a large amount of respect for Wikipedia and really look forward to seeing it continue to grow as a reliable source, and really I just want to be a part of it. My accreditations include a BFA in Painting & Printmaking with Minors in Art History and English from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA; a BA in English from Hunter College, New York, NY; 10+ year engagement in the contemporary art and literary world, specifically in New York, NY; 5+ years experience copyediting and proofreading; and lastly, a devoted interest to visual art and literature. I really hope that this block can be lifted, it would be wonderful to have my username and IP address cleared. Please let me know if there is any other information that I can provide that may further assist my case for unblock. With much respect, Aileen (Wellmeetagain)

Accept reason:

Since the username has been changed, there is no reason for block. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:32, 10 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
