Surname pages edit

Please do not create surname pages for dynastic names: this is anachronistic usage. For example, Bindusara did not use "Maurya" as a surname or a last name. utcursch | talk 02:59, 1 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

April 2017 edit

Hello, I'm Sitush. I noticed that you made a change to an article, List of Telugu castes, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 12:02, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

BOI edit

Though I'm glad you reverted this change, to address your edit summary "Box office India is official source for movie collections", there are no "official" sources for Indian movie collections. All sources provide estimates based on their own proprietary methods. You may find a general (though not comprehensive) list of sources that are considered sufficient at WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:41, 10 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

September 2017 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. My name isnotdave (talk/contribs) 16:51, 11 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

September 2017 edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Vanamonde (talk) 17:31, 11 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Topic ban edit

If you persist in trying to glorify the Kammas by repeating stuff contained in unreliable caste histories from the Raj era, as you have just done, then you're going to find yourself either blocked or at least topic banned. The Kamma-related articles have been subject to a massive amount of sockpuppetry of late and you're just doing the same sort of thing that those accounts have tried to do. - Sitush (talk) 18:16, 19 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

And this series of edits is plain wrong, too, and also relates to an article that the Kamma sockfarm have targeted. I do hope that you are not connected to them otherwise you'll definitely be blocked rather than topic banned. - Sitush (talk) 18:19, 19 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

September 2017 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Kakatiya dynasty. Sitush (talk) 18:29, 19 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

You've now removed some material on the grounds that the sources must be wrong because you say there is no inscriptional evidence to support their claims. See WP:OR. - Sitush (talk) 18:30, 19 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
