Spelling edit

Citations edit

In view of the shady nature of Joop's involvement in Indonesian history - please provide more citations - as the supposed connections are not as definite as asserted in the article as it stands - please provide closer/tighter refs - thank you SatuSuro 12:29, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disputed edit

You have not replied - or offered more specific citations so I have placed 'Disputed' at the article - I am sorry but my sources suggest that most of his claims (Joop Beek) are not verifiable and as a consequence the claims are disputable - and should be removed from the article.

Wikipedia takes WP:V and WP:RS seriously - anecdotal unsupported statements about the individuals role in Indonesian history require either much closer citations or reversion. Thanks SatuSuro 14:56, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've been busy with some other chores, but I'll look into it and hope some others will too.

Thanks Webnetprof (talk) 03:46, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thats fine - it is very very tricky when someone claims to have been a prime mover in Indonesian politics when no one mentioned the person in the time that one would have expected serious research would have mentioned him. The thing is the source that you have mentioned need to be cited from with some care - as the issue of WP:UNDUE emphasis on the claim of the presence of the person can be made.

If the sources you have used have easily quotable items that assist the argument of the article as it stands - that is fine - however from the perspective our checking traditionally accepted historical material it is simply a fabrication by an old man - we need more than his claims to ascertain the veracity for remaining in mainspace wikipedia SatuSuro 08:38, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kindertransport, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Barry Turner. World War II casualties ‎ edit

Hi Webnetprof, I noticed your edit on World War II casualties where you changed the number of deaths from 210,000 to 275,000. I didn't see any source for this change, and based on the values 6,700, 187,300 and 16,000 I think 210,000 is correct. If you want to reinstate your change, I would appreciate if you could explain with a reliable source. Thanks. – NJD-DE (talk) 10:56, 6 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mountain View Historical Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi Blablubbs. I think I get it, but it seems a bit complicated although I think my professional background as a writer will help to stay neutral. Luckily a lot of people have looked over this article (including some less neutral). I hope the number of refs is sufficient by now - that sometimes takes a bit of time. Hello, thank you for responding. To clarify: What is your connection to Arthur Graaff? --Blablubbs (talk) 16:08, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello Blablubbs,
There 's no question about is: Webnetprof = Arthur Graaff. He has admitted this in the past on Dutch Wikipedia.
Arthur Graaff was also for many years spokesperson of the AFVN - a Dutch pro Putin splinter gruep, who's activities Webnetprof promotes.
The person behind Webnetprof has used also different IP-addresses to work on the Arthur Graaff-page or to answer questions. See:

That source is a site of a left wing Dutch journalist, who reports critically about Mr. Graaff's activities, since the latter falsely claimed to be appointed as a special UN rapporteur in 2020. John A. Drummond (talk) 10:49, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello Blablubbs & John Dtummond,
It is no secret that Webnetprof is me. I used the old Dutch well-editied article on me that was featured in the Dutch WP for six years (hence the photograph in the database) to start this article. A number of others have contributed in the mean time, also critically (fine). But do not accuse me of falsely claiming anything without proof. Here is the proof of the designation as Rapporteur TO the UN: 'Antifascist Arthur Graaff benoemd tot rapporteur nazisme voor VN' ('Anti-fascist Arthur Graaff appointed as rapporteur on Nazism TO UN') and the article states that there are six leftist Dutch organizations that named me. https://www.afvn.nl/antifascist-rapporteur-vn/ This was then framed by opponents as 'BY' the UN. Not much came of it because of Covid that had just started then.
One of my critics has been waging a campaign about me for over 2.5 years now, and I have lodged a criminal complaint against him for slander. But currently the police doesn't do much with that kind of cases.
In the mean time, others and I have added as many refs as possible. I trust that will do it.
Thank you.

Given your removal and/or distortion of all serious critical notes by third parties on the Arthur Graaff page, and your use of a whole range of different IP addresses, I have no confidence in it. John A. Drummond (talk) 19:53, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Partial block edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing the article Arthur Graaff because you have chosen to ignore the conflict of interest guideline, despite the facts that you have been informed of that guideline, and that you have made posts both on this page and elsewhere which made it clear that you were aware of it.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  User:JBW (talk) 17:03, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I see that you have been evading the block by means of IP editing. That is rather unfair of you, because obviously your spam article will now have to be protected, to prevent you from doing the same again, and, as you must know, that may cause inconvenience for one or more legitimate editors, as well as preventing your abusive editing. Also, if I see that you try again to evade the partial block I shall place a total block on your account. JBW (talk) 11:15, 19 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
