You really need to tone down the wording about the company's products and spend more time on its history (not just copying a timeline), getting some neutral third party sources, and writing it to discuss it in a more neutral tone. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 17:24, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Just as I am.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Just as I am.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 01:14, 14 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

In “The History And Use Hymns And Hymn-Tunes” by Rev David Breed, there are 105 hymns that are considered first-rank. Among these, four stand out as they received fifty-one votes, just one vote short of unanimity. These four are often referred to as “The Great Four”. They are1:
1.    “All Praise to thee, my God, this night” - Bp. Ken
2.    “Hark! the Herald Angels Sing” - C. Wesley
3.    “Lo! He comes with clouds descending” - Cennick-Wesley
4.    “Rock of Ages, cleft for me” - Toplady
In addition, six other hymns received forty-nine votes1:
5.    “Abide with me; fast falls the eventide” - Lyte
6.    “Awake my soul and with the sun” - Bp.Ken
7.    “Jerusalem the golden” - Bernard-Neale
8.    “Jesus, Lover of my soul” - C.Wesley
9.    “Sun of my soul, thou Saviour dear” - Keble
10. “When I survey the wondrous cross” - Watts
“The National Hymn-Book of the American Churches” is a similar attempt to that of the Anglican Hymnology, but applied to America. The author selects the hymnaries of various denominations including Baptists, Congregationalists, Episcopalians, Lutherans, Methodists, Presbyterians, and Reformed among others, totaling thirty in all. From these, a hymn-book is compiled. However, the author includes no hymn, regardless of its merits, not found in the hymnal of the Protestant Episcopal Church2. This method is somewhat more catholic than that pursued in the Anglican Hymnology2. Wc721 (talk) 04:54, 29 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
