Jan Pinkava

edit

Please understand, just because this is an article about Jan Pinkava does not mean that it can be biased towards him or a point of view favorable to him. Please read WP:NPOV to try to understand why language that pushes a particular point of view is discouraged. Also, if you have access to information on Pinkava, please try to find some references for much of the early part of the article, as it is sorely lacking. Most of my changes to the Jan Pinkava page are intended to make it read better, not to change or add information. I mention "The Incredibles" because someone coming across the Jan Pinkava page may not know who Brad Bird is. Also, much of your syntax is poor. The phrase "Following his directorial step-down on his brainchild" is poorly written. You need to understand that the Wikipedia is not a place for people to just write what they want. The information needs to be accurate and well sourced, but also well written.
As for the references, I did not "question" them. There are none there. There are only three references on the page and they all come from the section on Ratatouille. Far from being "pompous", I asked you to provide sources for the early material because you seem like you might know of some and the page does not contain any right now. If you don't know how to add a reference citation to the article, you can learn at WP:CITE.
Since you seem unfamiliar with the Wikipedia policies and guidelines, I am including the standard welcome after this message. I suggest you use it to learn more about how things work here so we can work together to make the encyclopedia better. Rhindle The Red (talk) 01:39, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
I do not understand why you are continuing to be abusive towards me, when I am only trying, as all editors of the Wikipedia do, to make the encyclopedia better. You have called me pompous, opinionated and now a demogogue, which I don't even understand in the context of this discussion. I fail to see why you think that because it is the Jan Pinkava page, it cannot include the fact that Brad Bird directed The Incredibles (or, indeed, The Iron Giant). It is simply a descriptive to help people understand who Brad Bird is, if they otherwise do not know. You have also accused me of having a messianic complex and of being stupid. Wikipedia does not look favorably on people who cannot co-exist in a civil manner, something you seem to have difficultly with. I would appreciate it if, in the future, you refrain from insults when conversing with me.
As for the page, you may take issue with any edit I make. That is your right, as it is mine to take issue with any edit *you* make. But please do not remove the warning at the top of the page. It still needs citations and the tag should remain until the issue is resolved. Removing it can be considered vandalsim and can result in your being blocked from editing for a period of time. If you have the references, please add them to the page. Rhindle The Red (talk) 03:08, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Joseph S. Salemi

Hi! You might see sometime that I've added a "more sources needed" tag to your article. There's a few places in the article where a reference to another work could confirm some statements. I don't think this is urgent, but I thought you might like to know from me why I added the tag to the page.

If you need any assistance with referencing your work, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Thanks for your contributions, dci | TALK 13:24, 6 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
