On how to move your article to mainspace.
Further comment. I left some new comments about photos and references on the Feedback page. Overall I think the problem you are having is that you are "married to" the photos. Write the article first. That is why I suggest severely limiting the number of photos in those comments. You can deal with the "gallery" idea later. Galleries seem to be a controversial notion. resubmitting edit

Regarding your comments in User talk:Vso737/José Miguel Noguera;

Hi,
I made the corrections pointed out in the last review. Can you please review my article again for posting.
Thank you very much Vso737 (talk) 05:13, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

The 'article for creation' is in Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/José Miguel Noguera.

To request a new review, please edit that page, and put at the top of it.

Thanks.  Chzz  ►  10:10, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I can't seem to get rid of the Grahame Jones with Estudiantes and Nueva Chicago on top of the REFERENCE section. Also can't figure out why the teams do not show besides the 1949-1950 San Pedro Yugoslavs and McIlwaine Canvasbacks beside the years 1950-1953. Any help on this arcticle would be highly appreciated. Re. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/José Miguel Noguera

Hello, I have removed the duplicate references from the bottom section. Note that references are added to the body of the article and will show automatically at the bottom of the page where you placed the template reflist (although in your article I split the number of references into two columns by using 2 instead, since it is quite lengthy). A short example on how to use refs is shown below:

Obsidian Soul likes cookies. He wants to eat every single cookie in the world.

References
Reflist

When you hit save, that will show up in the article as the following:

Obsidian Soul likes cookies. He wants to eat every single cookie in the world.[1]

References
1.^Bob Jones, The Big Blue Book of Cookies (2011). Bad Burrito Press, Jonestown, Outer Lemuria.

You can read more about referencing here: Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. Also please make sure you are referencing correctly, only external sources are acceptable, WIkipedia can not be used as a reference for another article on Wikipedia. Please read and understand the following: WP:PSTS, Wikipedia:Citing sources, and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (footnotes).
References should not be text explaining something (those are footnotes and are seldom used in Wikipedia). References should be a list of sources, like websites, books, magazines, etc. Rather than show a picture of a magazine for example, you can instead list the details of what Magazine it was, when was it published, title of the article, and the author. To know how to correctly format your references we have some templates that are easier to use. You can see them here: Wikipedia:Citation templates.
I have also fixed the formatting error in the infobox. You seem to have forgotten to enclose one entry, resulting in breaking the formatting. The entry was Pan American Soccer Club.
I strongly recommend learning how to reference and find sources correctly if you want your article to be accepted.--ObsidinSoul 08:37, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm really confused now. The bottom of my page, heading NOTES, was a list of 42 articles which I cross referenced for my verification. I can NOT see them now and when you click the number on the body of the report, it takes you to the REFERENCE section, at the end of the quoutation in the reference it directs you to one of these 42 references that where listed under NOTES but it does NOT take you to the article because it is NOT there. If you click on any reference number in the report you will see what I'm talking about. Thank you, Vso737 (talk) 04:37, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thank you for the explanation about referencing. To me this is by far the most difficult part of all this and it is very daunting to say the least. I did use the citation method and find it liveable. I understand not using a photograph of a magazine but citing it instead. The problem is when you ONLY have the page with no other information or how do you reference a MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE or copy OF A PROFESSIONAL LICENSE to play soccer or BURIAL CERTIFICATES etc. If you look at the articles under my NOTES section you get an understanding of my concern. I will continue to read what you suggested about referencing and maybe it will address these issues. Thank you for taking the time to explain things..........I need all the help I can get. Hello, these links may help you: Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners with citation templates and Wikipedia:Citation templates --ObsidinSoul 09:16, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, After some reading on the subject I now understand that you do NOT use footnotes. I guess all those articles I was useing in the NOTE section will now have to be done in a CITATION format the same as the websites. thanks again for taking the time to explain, Vso737 (talk) 16:41, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome. Good luck. Also just a note, please add new entries in your talk page at the bottom, not at the top of the page. This is so it's easier for us to find it. --ObsidinSoul 17:10, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

helpme Hi, I just went to access my article and it is gone. I'm not half way through with it. Since it was reviewed and I was enlightened on what needs to be done, which I'm in the middle of, and that is getting my reference material ready for the article. Can you PLEASE move my article back into my SANDBOX so I can finish it. Thank you very much, Vso737 (talk) 07:23, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I think you must mean José Miguel Noguera? It is there; it is a live article; it has not been deleted.

helpme Hi, Can you please help me with the items in the personal box. Why is it that the NICKNAME and the MANAGER entry for Monterrey 1945-46 MANAGER not showing up?? Thank you, Vso737 (talk) 06:51, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

You can only use parameters which the template has; you cannot just make them up. There is no 'nickname' or 'manager' field in Template:Infobox football biography. If you look in that link, you'll see all the parameters which can be used
However we should no longer be using that template, anyway. It is deprecated; instead, you should use Template:Infobox football biography 2. The template should be changed to that new one.
For further help on this topic, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Football (and you could ask things on the talk page there, Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject Football).  Chzz  ►  09:47, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I have converted the article to use Template:Infobox football biography 2. And yes, it doesn't have a nickname field it seems. You can always mention the nickname in the text though. Also a suggestion: try breaking up the text of your article into paragraphs to make it more readable, heh.--ObsidinSoul 10:00, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

helpme Hi, I'm about to resubmit. I can't figure out why the names that are on the Spanish language Wikipedia do NOT show up now in my report. I'm using es:example Thanks again, Vso737 (talk) 19:35, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

There is no need to submit anything; José Miguel Noguera is a live article.
You cannot put 'wikilinks' to an article on Spanish Wikipedia. I will remove those links.
There will be one link, on the left, for 'other languages'  Chzz  ►  20:31, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

helpme Hi, So, what you are telling me is that other languages can be crossed over but Spanish, ES, can not. I had them working earlier in the project. I don't understand but there's a whole bunch of stuff that I don't understand.......... I am now aware that the article is live. I will keep on making corrections and hopefully add some more data to it. I know that I will gain a lot of data once I put the article on the Spanish Wikipedia site. I really appreciate all the help you are giving me. Thanks again, Vso737 (talk) 21:34, 30 January 2011 (UTC) es:SalchichaReply

No; we do not link directly, in articles, to other language Wikipedias, except for the 'Language' link on the left.
If you put e.g. es:Salchicha on an English Wikipedia page - anywhere - then, it makes an "interwiki link" on the left, under "languages" - to show there is another article, on another language Wikipedia, about the same topic.
That means, if write here, es:Salchicha - nothing will appear here in the text; it'll just make a link on the left.
If you want to make a link to another language Wikipedia page, you have to put a colon character in it; for example, if I write :es:Musa × paradisiaca then it makes a link: es:Musa × paradisiaca
However: we do not like to put links to other-language wikis within the document; that is because, other-language wikis are not reliable sources.
I hope that clarifies?  Chzz  ►  00:22, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

YES, I understand what you mean. The 3 sites that I want to cross over are BIO's on Miguel Angel Rugilo; Antonio Battaglia and the President of Mexico, Miguel Aleman. Both Rugilo "The Lion of Wembley" as he is known in Argentia for his performance against England at Wembley Stadium in England when Argentina lost, they would have gotten thumped if it wasn't for Rugilo. Rugilo and Battaglia (now 92 yrs old) have a lot of history playing with Noguera for Velez. Since they do NOT have their Bio. in the English Wikipedia, I wanted to include theirs in the article from the ES site.

I made some additions to the CATEGORY section at the bottom of the article....they appear in RED and I don't know what or how to change this. Thanks again for taking the time ........ Vso737 (talk) 03:58, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

RE:categories, you just can't place any category you want. The category pages have to exist. In the meantime, I'm removing the red links to the nonexistent categories.
RE:Spanish bios. It might be better (and helpful) if you could instead create their articles and translate them into the English wikipedia. Linking to es.wikipedia without warning the readers that they are going to a Wikipedia in another language would be very confusing for readers. In addition, Wikipedia does have an article on Miguel Alemán Valdés, but currently no articles on Antonio Battaglia and Miguel Ángel Rugilo. I have included them in the text anyway, as red links so that if someone creates articles on them, the links would then work.--ObsidinSoul 06:40, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Put those category pages in a "super" category. For instance, on José Miguel Noguera, you put the category Monterrey Football Club. Go to that page, then add Category:Primera División de México to that page (which category already exists), so you have the "Category:Primera División de México" with the "Category:Monterrey Football Club" as a subcategory, with "José Miguel Noguera" listed as a subpage of the Monterrey Football Club. Put the helpme template back up or let me know on my talk page if you'd like more help. In the future, it is helpful to link the pages that you're having problems with. :) Banaticus (talk) 06:48, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

helpme Thanks, it all makes sense. I will try the "super category". I intend on making a Spanish language page on Jose Miguel Noguera......that's going to be a whole new experience. I just hope they are as helpful as you all have been on this site. Thanks again, Vso737 (talk) 19:36, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Heya, there was still an active helpme thing here, and it looks like you've got your answers, so I just cancelled it out. Hope that is OK. If I got it wrong, just use another, with a question. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  20:12, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
