Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

edit

Thanks for your recent talk page note. First, if you are making signficant changes to articles, these should be explained by entering an edit summary, that can save misunderstandings. Your edit was revered because the article name, and the name of the place, seems to be currently established as Chernobyl for the English Wikipedia. However, there is discussion at Talk:Chernobyl#Chernobyl or Chornobyl? to review the spelling. It may be more appropriate to discuss the spelling there first. The issue of variant spellings does seem contentious, and in the case of Kiev/Kyiv, it seems consensus is to leave the article at Kiev - see the discussion in Talk:Kiev/naming for example. However, if the Chernobyl article does get changed to Chornobyl, then it would help make the case to change this for the Exclusion Zone article. Hope this explains some of the issues. Sources required for new info

edit

Hi Vita. You made a change to the number of engines in the BFR (rocket) article, and you left this line in the infobox:

| engines = 6: 3 × [[Raptor (rocket engine family)|Raptor]] + 3 × RaptorVac<ref name="SpaceX20180917"/>

The problem is that those new numbers are not supported by that source (refname SpaceX20180917), so the change should not be made unless you can provide a new source.

I'm not reverting your edit just now, as I'm doing other work on that article. But you should find a source for your change in the meantime.

If you want help in learning to better edit and improve Wikipedia articles, feel free to ping me on my Talk page. Cheers. N2e (talk) 18:01, 27 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
