Welcome! edit

Hello, Visualhistory, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits has not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:31, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

October 2016 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Robert Black (serial killer), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please supply reliable references. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing. David J Johnson (talk) 20:11, 26 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Robert Black (serial killer). David J Johnson (talk) 20:04, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at James Hanratty, you may be blocked from editing. David J Johnson (talk) 20:24, 27 October 2016 (UTC)   Please see Capital punishment in the United Kingdom for details of the last executions. David J Johnson (talk) 20:52, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Regarding sources edit

Visualhistory, I understand that you are a new user but it is very important that you stop adding unreferenced material to articles. Our readers need to be able to verify the accuracy of the content they read on Wikipedia, and this is done through the inclusion of reliable sources. I've added a welcome template to the top of this page which explains our policies and guidelines in greater detail. Please do not continue to add or restore unsupported statements to articles and ensure that you use article talk pages when in a content dispute with other editors. Continued edit-warring to restore your own preferred (unsourced) content may lead to this account being temporarily blocked, so please take the time to read the links I've provided. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:31, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Help me! edit

Please help me with on how I add links to my edits so I can show evidance

Visualhistory (talk) 20:37, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

The best place to visit to learn about adding references to verify the information you add can be found at WP:REFB, in particular Section 3.1. It will go into much more detail than I can in a short reply. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 21:01, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

November 2016 edit

Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Keri (talk) 21:24, 17 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Peter Tobin. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Hammersoft (talk) 18:19, 20 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

United Kingdom ethnic groups percentages. edit

Where did you get that "5.2% Other White" figure from, that you put into the United Kingdom infobox, ethnic groups section (this edit)? It looks like an unsourced or WP:OR edit in a very contentious subject! I reverted your edit. Batternut (talk) 21:59, 20 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
