University City Centurions edit

What is this page about? I may tag it for speedy deletion due to lack of context. Are you going to add to it? Killiondude (talk) 07:48, 24 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Renaming an article edit

Regarding the move of Corey Bordreaux to Corey Boudreaux: in general, Wikipedia prefers to preserve the page history of an article, in order to preserve individuals' contributions (which helps the article comply with the GFDL, the license under which article text is released). This can be achieved by performing a page move, information on which can be found at Help:Moving a page; as you'll see on that help page, the cut-and-paste move (copying text from one article and then pasting it into a new page) isn't recommended practice.

I've tagged the article in order to request administrator help in moving the content to the correctly spelt title, so it should be sorted some time soon. Cheers. -- Skarl 22:41, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Background.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Background.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:20, 24 February 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 05:20, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Road To War edit

A tag has been placed on Road To War requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Cunard (talk) 05:21, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Road To War, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Cunard (talk) 05:23, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Road To War. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Cunard (talk) 05:27, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with File:Road To War Logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Road To War Logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Proposed deletion of Luke Laolagi edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Luke Laolagi, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable, non-professional college football player

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of Royce Pollard (American football) edit

The article Royce Pollard (American football) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Insufficient athletic experience to be deemed "notable" except playing sports in high school.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Student7 (talk) 12:49, 22 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
