Tel al-Sultan massacre edit
On June 1st you removed a Reuters source [[1]] which cited Hamas's statement verifying that two of their members were killed in the Tel al-Sultan airstrike, as well as returning "as per Israel" to the infobox.
"As per Israel" had been removed at the same time that the Reuters source was added, because the earlier source came out before Hamas had officially verified the deaths of two of their members.
Do you mind returning the Reuters source and removing "as per Israel" or perhaps changing it to "as per Israel and Hamas"?ItsRainingCatsAndDogsAndMen (talk) 12:04, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
- @ItsRainingCatsAndDogsAndMen the Reuters source didn't cite a Hamas statement, I recall it cited an American statement. Perhaps you can link to the source here and give the text of it? VR (Please ping on reply) 13:09, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response, I replied on the article's talk page.ItsRainingCatsAndDogsAndMen (talk) 14:19, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb
Hi, not sure if you were aware but the content that you reverted back into that article was written by an IP (who is now-blocked for gross anti-semitic attacks) in violation of the WP:ARBPIA remedies that require that non-ECR users refrain from editing in this subject area. As it should have never been inserted in the first place, I've gone ahead and reverted it back out again. If you'd like to attribute these edits as your own insertion, of course, you're more than welcome to re-add them on those grounds; but since it was unclear whether you were doing so or simply responding to the IP's request (without the context that the content was disallowed in the first place), I took the liberty of going ahead and removing it. — ⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 20:53, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
- Yes its my own edit. I'd like to think all edits must be 100% the responsibility of the one who makes them, though mistakes happen from time to time.VR (Please ping on reply) 00:13, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
Regarding your request for ADL citations
The specific example you asked about is a bit complicated because from some reason the footnotes have a separate link from the article itself.
Here is the article link: https://www.jstor.org/stable/resrep58112.4?seq=9
And here are the footnotes link (that's what I posted on the noticeboard): https://www.jstor.org/stable/resrep58112.11?seq=6
The references to the ADL there are in footnote 73:
“Anti-Semitic Incidents Surged Nearly 60% in 2017, According to New ADL Report,” Anti-Defamation League, February 27, 2018, https://www.adl.org/resources/press-release/anti-semitic-incidents-surged-nearly-60-2017-according-new-adl-report; “ADL Records Dramatic Increase in U.S. Antisemitic Incidents Following Oct. 7 Hamas Massacre,” Anti-Defamation League, October 24, 2023, https://www.adl.org/resources/press-release/adl-records-dramatic-increase-us-antisemitic-incidents-following-oct-7;
This footnote is a footnote to this sentence in the article itself: "Jewish organizations first witnessed an uptick in hateful rhetoric from the right after 2017 and from the left following Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Threats from the illiberal left and right are now putting Jews at increased risk across a broader geography, spreading from threats at clearly Jewish organizations and synagogues to university campuses."
As for the other example you can find the citations in the article by simply doing a search on "anti defamation" or "anti-defamation". You have access to JSTOR I assume? Vegan416 (talk) 20:00, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Vegan416: Thanks, I'll vote option 1.VR (Please ping on reply) 03:44, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
- I think that RfC was closed long ago... But thanks anyway for you open mind. Vegan416 (talk) 10:57, 16 June 2024 (UTC)

Sourcing
Would you mind taking a look at my (new) sourcing in the genocide discussion? Would you consider that enough, or is there something missing? FortunateSons (talk) 21:49, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- The ones in German? There is no requirement of providing English sources per policy, its just cumbersome for users to evaluate the sources in a non-native language. I can take a look at those when I have time.VR (Please ping on reply) 15:38, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, they are mostly in German. I’m happy to check out anything automatically translated, in case it doesn’t translate well. Thank you very much. FortunateSons (talk) 15:46, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Vice regent thank you for reviewing it. FortunateSons (talk) 19:40, 25 June 2024 (UTC)

Deletion of the letter article
Hi, I am not going to continue discussion on admin's talk. They were responsive to continue the discussoin, but, at the end of the day, asking for explanation was decribed as "refuse[ing] to accept consensus". Plus, users may have different understanding when it comes to explain the policies and guidelines; Did you observe the latest source which deeply covers the subject? If it's not indicative of eduring notability, then how can it be established? --Mhhossein talk 05:26, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
- "
how can it be established?
" ...would be an excellent question for the closer. Unfortunately, they don't seem willing to entertain that question and even mischaracterized my last question. The options are either take this to DRV, or to merge the article and revisit its recreation in the future.VR (Please ping on reply) 05:51, 19 June 2024 (UTC)- Yes, the question is good to ask but the response is more important! :) Do you have any suggestions for DRV or re-creation in future? The Fa wiki user was quick to merge the article. --Mhhossein talk 10:28, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Mhhossein: unfortunately, I don't have any more ideas. Perhaps talk to an uninvolved admin for advice? And if you open a DRV please do ping me, as well as the closer.VR (Please ping on reply) 05:33, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
