License tagging for File:Jubilee stone - Copy cropped.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Jubilee stone - Copy cropped.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

I'm not sure how to set about changing my article to comply with your criteria. I thought that I was giving information on non-profit making wildlife sites around Nailsea for which I tried to give appropriate documentation. The page was an account of the type of wildlife that could be found there, externally referenced to other items in Wikipedia. It also included some photographic illustrations and English National Grid references to establish the localities. Any suggestions would be welcome. Veteranoak (talk) 10:09, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Nature Reserves in Nailsea

Hello Veteranoak, thank you for your feedback on Articles for Creation. I have moved the page to the requested title for you. You have the ability to move pages as well. To change the title you click a button that says "Move" and you input the new title. See here for the location of the move button. Caution should be used when using the move tool, as only administrators can undo a move. To change categories after you upload them, you navigate to their title and click the edit button. Some images can not be edited on Wikipedia, because they are not really *here*. For example File:Moorend Spout Nailsea in Jan.jpg, a image you uploaded, is on Wikimedia commons and mirrored here. You have to go to the commons page and edit it. So you would have to go to commons:File:Moorend Spout Nailsea in Jan.jpg. I'm just wondering whether it would be clearer to have a separate article for each nature reserve? What do you think? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:15, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Marttin - I could write at great length on each nature reserve, but I have been fairly restrained, as I was not sure that readers would be that interested, since these sites might seem to be of rather parochial significance. If time allows I will give that consideration. I have been rather concerned that readers may wonder why I am reviewing the nature reserves, and I would like to put this into the wider context of the preservation of biodiversity. The wildlife depends on specific habitats and it is these that we should preserve. Even rather familiar and mundane local habitats could be just a important as the tropical rainforests. This might mean writing a preamble to the article having reference to the global loss of species,and the need to start thinking about the need to 'act locally'. I would have liked to add references to my own book and my website on this subject, but I understood that this might constitute 'self promotion' or 'advertising'. Since I am still trying to master the Wiki language, I thought that I should concentrate on producing good quality photographs and factual text. Martin - On thinking about this again, perhaps I have misundertood you. How can I put these on different pages, presumably each with a separating line and an 'edit' tab? Hi Veteranoak, I've done some work on the article and put in the separate sections. I think it's looking better now. The other alternative is that each nature reserve gets its own article. In other words, you could create the following articles:

• Moorend Spout
• Netcott’s Meadow
• etc.

and just move the content over (cut and paste) into the separate articles. As long as each article satisfies the General notability guideline, it doesn't have to be "interesting" to all readers! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 17:15, 10 March 2011 (UTC).
