Kargil War
It appears that a section of the talk page was archived by someone but perhaps not properly because it is missing large sections of the talk page, like this from a previous history shows that there were lengthy discussions -more than once- about the naming and why it was a close call, based on sources and other information. Victory doesn't always mean a conflict is termed as war, a case in point would be the Siachen Glacier fighting which is not termed as a war by India, despite a successful operation. As far as the person Ashraf Rashid, I found no major mention in any of the sources I have come across (I might also have made an oversight) and the article on him doesn't provide any references showing his involvement. Sure he could have been the head of para-military but without credible sources, and putting his name in the opening paragraph where larger issues are to be presented first is out of place. If sourced then his involvement can be added elsewhere in both the articles. Idleguy (talk) 03:24, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

You have surely seen the happening over at the page. Please enlighten me with what can really be done with it. I had thought about deletion but then that'd not take the culprits anywhere. Then I thought about dispute resolution. Would that work? Arun Reginald (talk · contribs) 00:59, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- I would say Ragib suggestion to post it at Wikipedia:ANB is good since the user is primeraly interested in editing his/her own article and is unlikely a despite with a "real" editor.--→ Ãlways Ãhëad (talk) 18:21, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Please vote for deletion. Let's take it to AfD once as Saratahir suggested on the page. I am voting for strong delete as I am more inclined towards having their apparent conflict of interest noted by a committee. If this page is deleted once, it is easier for the administrators to keep track of the user who recreates the page and for what purpose the page is created. If it becomes apparent COI or a blatant advertisement, it would eventually be deleted again in a second AfD. Once it reaches the third, the editor is in serious troubles treading water. While this article gets deleted, I am going to file a COI complaint on ANB. Nominate the page here Arun Reginald (talk · contribs) 18:39, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Gora_Prai_airstrike_funeral.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Gora_Prai_airstrike_funeral.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? — pd_THOR | =/\= | 20:09, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
