Hey man. Sorry it seems like your having a rough time. Unfortunately, I have nominated WaLid Bouras for speedy deletion, because to have an article, a person needs to have a lot of coverage in secondary sources like newspapers and other articles.

You might want to check out The Wikipedia Adventure, which is a good tutorial on how to edit Wikipedia. It's usually really helpful for new users. TimothyJosephWood 13:58, 10 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Welcome!

edit

Hello, Twixx31, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created was WaLid Bouras, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! 220 of Borg 15:23, 10 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that in this edit to Football at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:29, 10 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Fahem Hammachi

edit

Hello, Twixx31. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Fahem Hammachi, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Fahem Hammachi to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, Cotton2 (talk) 16:57, 11 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Hey man. Just wanted to let you know why you got the above message. When you make an article on a living person, it has to start with at least one reference. If you need help with references just let me know. TimothyJosephWood 17:56, 11 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Hey. The simplest way to make a reference is to use:
<ref>PUT REFERENCE HERE</ref>

and what you get is something like this:

TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT[1]

References

  1. ^ REFERENCE REFERENCE REFERENCE REFERENCE

Speedy deletion nomination of Sara Jay

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sara Jay, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Cleopatra bust at the Archaeological Museum of Cherchel, Algeria

edit

Hello! Sorry to intrude or take up any of your time, but I have an extraordinary request that you may be interested in. It's not every day that I make extraordinary requests, but this is an extraordinary situation that I hope you might be able to address, being a Wikipedia editor from Algeria. I might visit Algeria one day, but I'm not going to wind up in the country any time soon. I was wondering if you would be interested, at any point in the future if you have any spare time, in visiting the Archaeological Museum of Cherchell, Algeria to photograph the bust of Cleopatra VII of Ptolemaic Egypt (also possibly a bust of her daughter Cleopatra Selene II, wife of Juba II of Mauretania). There are no available public domain or other suitably licensed images of this bust found at Wikimedia Commons or anywhere online that I have seen. All images of it online that I have seen are copyrighted and under non-commercial licenses, unfortunately, so I cannot upload them to Wikimedia Commons. If you would take a photo of this obscure bust and upload it to Wikimedia Commons under a public domain or suitable commercial license, it would be a great boon for Wikipedia!
