That 1961 image belongs in the public domain. It shows Sekou Toure, the first president of the republic of Guinea (Conakry) and Saifoulaye Diallo, then the president of the National Assembly.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Moussa-konate.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Moussa-konate.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —SpaceFlight89 15:32, 18 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

"This image was uploaded with the source only as "Tierno S. Bah" - nothing "tracable" on the web. No date, author, were given to support the "creative commons" license that was given. Given that similar images exist [1] that do not have compatible licenses w/wikipedia & a specific source was not provided to prove the "creative commons" license, the image was deleted. If you do have a traceable source & are able to prove that the image was in fact released under a wiki-appropriate license, you can either re-upload the image with the correct information or leave the information on my talk page (or at Wikipedia:Deletion review where more admins may see it). If the image is in fact copyrighted, you can go through the WP:OTRS system to get correct release to use it here. Skier Dude (talk) 00:46, 9 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please keep that image. It's a public domain file showing Amadou Hampâté Bâ, one of the most prestigious African authors in the 20th century. He was a great advocate of traditional culture. He coined the following phrase: «In Africa, when an old man dies, it's a library that burns down.» His masterpieces (Koumen and Kaydara) belong in the world literary heritage. And I publish the full text of Bâ's works with his pictures on my website webPulaaku

Camp Boiro edit

I rolled back your recent additions to this article on purely technical grounds. The article has an external link to the main http://www.campboiro.org/ website, and the additional pages can all be reached from there. On a painful subject like this my personal view is that we can best serve our readers around the world by presenting the facts in as neutral a manner as possible, and letting the facts speak for themselves. Are you o.k. with this? Aymatth2 (talk) 02:08, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I believe that campboiro.org is providing a valuable service. It is able to publish information that might not technically qualify for Wikipedia, and can provide a well-organized view of the subject as a whole. Several Wikipedia articles point to it. We cannot reproduce the campboiro.org entries, and must introduce other sources for Wikipedia articles to verify accuracy of anything controversial and to prove notability, but I don't see any conflict. Keep up the good work! Aymatth2 (talk) 18:13, 10 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you are interested in this discussion, please participate by going to the disussion page and adding your comments. Thank you.--A12n (talk) 03:57, 5 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Several names designate this mountain region of central Guinea (Conakry). They are: Foutah Dialon, Fouta Diallon, Futa Diallon, Fuuta-Jaloo, Fuuta-Jalon, etc. The main article should include all of them to indicate that they denote the same area.

Speedy deletion nomination of Literature of Guinea edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Literature of Guinea, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — IVORK Discuss 05:34, 4 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

No details or argument to justify the speedy deletion of the article Literature of Guinea. Only a vague reference to Wikipedia editorial policy. Please reinstate and open a discussion thread. Tsbah (talk) 10:29, 2 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
