Rules violation edit

You have said you are the subject's manager, yet you have failed to declare you are paid to edit articles. You must read about conflicts of interest and understand that Wikipedia is not a place for advertising or promotion. -- Alexf(talk) 11:52, 13 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

There are many more things that you must understand before you continue your editing on Wikipedia.

  1. As mentioned above, you stated that you are the subject's manager. Wikipedia's mandatory and non-negotiable policy on paid editing means that you must openly disclose this information where it is easily seen. You have done this somewhat on your user page, but it's unclear. Using the {{paid}} template on your user page is the preferred way to do this.
  2. Being his manager and friend means that you have an inherent conflict of interest, which will make it difficult for you to write from the required neutral point of view. Consult Wikipedia's plain and simple conflict of interest guide to understand why we highly discourage this practice.
  3. Understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, where articles cover notable topics that are of interest to the world at large over a long period of time. We consider evidence from reliable and independent sources to gauge this interest. This rules out sources that are self-published, like social media and an artist's official website. WP:A/S has lists of sources that are considered reliable (and unreliable) for music topics.
  4. Wikipedia has particular notability criteria for musicians which must be met before an artist is considered worthy of inclusion. If the artist is alive, then an article must also adhere to Wikipedia's strict policy on biographies of living persons. Up and coming people or things are not considered suitable for Wikipedia, because something or someone must already be notable to be included. Possible future fame has no impact on present notability.
  5. Using Wikipedia for publicity, advertising or promotion is not allowed for any reason. An article's subject or their representatives have no right of ownership or editorial control over an article's contents. Wikipedia has no interest in what an article subject wants to say about themselves or how they want to be portrayed. Having a Wikipedia article is not something to be proud of, as the neutral point of view policy will ensure that both positive and negative content is included as long as it is properly sourced and neutrally worded.
  6. Last but not least, your account name violates Wikipedia's username policy. You should not edit under a name that is not your own, because Wikipedia can and often does block these accounts to prevent impersonation. This name could also imply that this is a management "team" and that the account can be accessed by more than one person. This is also disallowed; only one person - the same person - can use an account. Please request a change of username before your account is blocked on these grounds.

April 2019 edit

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, If you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 20:31, 13 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

You state that you are Trey Day's manager; if that is true, you cannot use his name as your username. If the username is that of a specific individual, that individual must be the one operating the account; it is not permitted for another to operate it in their name(i.e "official" accounts). You must also review and comply with the policies indicated above. 331dot (talk) 20:32, 13 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
