Welcome!

edit

Hello, Trendae, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Connected

edit

Are you connected to the subject of the article you are editing? Thanks. Epeefleche (talk) 08:02, 13 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

First Thanks a lot for your positive response, finally I got something supportive and helpful for my first contribution in Wikipedia
I do respect the rules and policies, In regards to the two accounts, we are two students whom we wrote a wikipedia article about our mentor. We ensured that we don't add any opinion and just add facts from the sources available. We provided sources from Live TV interviews, Radio Interviews, Newspaper articles, Profiles and other sources. We really wanted to ensure writing a good article and we compared it to many articles written about UAE Nationals
Please help me improving this article or edit it as you see it suitable, because we reviewed it more than 10 times looking for opinions and deleted any opinion or unimportant information. We don't want it to get deleted, specially after all the efforts we did in writing and collecting sources. It will look really bad, we even shared it with our university faculty which they were proud of us to contribute to Wikipedia
Kindly help us improve,
Regards,

Hi, if you wish to contact user @Epeefleche: above, please click the "Talk" link in their signature, instead of using the Help Me template. I've looked at the article. The subject's notability has not been properly established. Please read WP:BIO and familiarize yourself with the notability criteria for the subject's field of expertise, please be sure that the subject meets the appropriate criteria, and then sculpt the article so that it is clear that the subject meets the criteria. Right now it's unclear why he should have an encyclopedia article. According to the article, he's a government worker. That's fine, but there are millions of government workers in the world. What makes him special? How does he stand out? Has he or his work received significant coverage from multiple reliable sources that are independent of the subject? Hope that helps. Some quick tips

edit

Hi, some quick tips to make discussions a little easier for you, and so that other editors don't have to reformat your responses:

  • Sign your posts with four tildes. ~~~~
  • To address another user, you can (but do not have to) use one of these templates: {{ping|Username}} or {{u|Username}}. I believe it is case sensitive.
Example: "Hi, {{u|Trendae}}, how are you?"
  • Indenting replies in makes it easier to follow discussions. We use colons at the very beginning of the line to do this. Each colon indents another time, like so:

I'm tired.

:Why are you tired?
::I didn't get enough sleep last night.
:::Get some sleep tonight!
::::Good idea, thanks!

Hope that helps. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:49, 15 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
