Welcome to Wikipedia. Editors are expected to treat each other with respect and civility. On this encyclopedia project, editors assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not appear to do at Nina Hartley. Here is Wikipedia's welcome page, and it is hoped that you will assume the good faith of other editors and continue to help us improve Wikipedia! This edit summary was not appropriate. Please take a moment to read WP:ESDOS. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 12:38, 3 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Nina Hartley. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:14, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

So then how do we communicate this over to the people of the world? She played a huge role in the feminist porn wars. I know such a thing sounds funny but it occured. Not too many other porn stars referennced or even know of the feminist porn wars. What should I add then because there are countless sources once again. Thank you! I listened to your suggestions! Can you help me with the citations? Torah mishna (talk) 14:56, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

did you know

.. that there's a "cite" button on your editor which can convert a URL to a reference? 0xDeadbeef→∞ (talk to me) 13:25, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Should I use that or cite it by my self? Torah mishna (talk) 14:57, 4 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Blocked as a sockpuppet

edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Naarter per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Naarter. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Spicy (talk) 04:47, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am NOT a sockpuppet. I don't know what I could even do to prove this? Why are you guys doing this to me? I made proper edits that were backed by facts. I saw the other edits naarter made and I thought I could weigh in on this topic. I learned about Nina Hartley in class and she is controversial I admit but what I talk about and edited mostly dealt with this type of topic. Yes I saw the prior edits and talks and wanted to weigh in partly because it is intellectually stimulating and also because it is a male dominated space. I think this is only going to further incite people to edit this and if this occurs you can't call every person who disagrees with you a sockpuppet especially when the edit history, talks and contributions are public information that can be openly discussed. This is kind of wrong because there is nothing any body can do from now on concerning this topic because you think any one who disagrees with you concerning valid patterns in reality is a "sockpuppet". Also I don't know what a sockpuppet even is? What did Naarter do other than disagree with you? It is not like this user didn't at least attempt to make valid edits and/or attempted to edit in malicious acts. No one is being mean here except the men that essentially own these topics now... This isn't the spirit of free and open discourse and intellectualism that wikipedia is supposed to embody. This is something. Just respond to me please, sir.

Decline reason:

On the one hand, you say you are not a sockpuppet. On the other hand, you say you don't know what a sockpuppet is. You also seem confused about Wikipedia. Wikipedia isn't about free and open discourse. It's an encyclopedia, not a chat forum. In any case, you don't address the rather substantial evidence over at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Naarter. Yamla (talk) 14:39, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
