Infobox stats
editPlease note that we only include domestic league games in the infobox - so no Cup or Continental matches etc. Please also ensure that when you update the stats you also update the date, using ~~~~~. If you have any questions please ask. GiantSnowman 10:17, 14 August 2022 (UTC)
- As previously advised - please ensure you update the date. GiantSnowman 15:07, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- And, as you have been told - it is league stats only, please do not include cup games. GiantSnowman 18:45, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
Transfermarkt is not a reliable source
editPlease do not use it as a source. GiantSnowman 11:20, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
Infobox date (again)
editAs per the section above from @GiantSnowman:, please ensure you are updating the timestamp when updating player infoboxes to add appearances. If a user sees stats without an updated date, they can't know whether they are up to date or not. Thanks, Gricehead (talk) 20:18, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
Infobox date
editI can see that you have already been asked three times above, but I am afraid I am going to have to ask a fourth time.....can you please please please update the timestamp when you update a player's stats. Your earlier edit to Tom Eaves left the article saying that he had played one game for Rotherham as of 7 May, which obviously isn't correct as he didn't even play for them then. Sorry to say it, but you are making a lot of unnecessary work for other editors fixing these edits...... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 20:27, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
August 2022
editYou may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Brooke Norton-Cuffy. GiantSnowman 19:40, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- Please do not update match stats (whether a player’s or a club’s or a league table etc.) until the player’s involvement in the match has finished / the match itself has finished. That means (especially, for example, another goal is scored) that errors can be minimised. Many thanks. GiantSnowman 19:43, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- And still it continues with the infobox dates. @GiantSnowman: I think it's time for a brief block to bring this user's attention to his talk page? Gricehead (talk) 21:16, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, have done - multiple users have raised the same issues, and they continue to be ignored. WP:CIR. GiantSnowman 21:21, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman@Gricehead@ChrisTheDude To the clique, thanks for the persistent sharp tones, very much appreciated! Fear not, there'll be no further efforts from me, I'll take my "vandal" self away from the platform and save your time in the future TomJay 22 (talk) 22:01, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

ANI notification
editThere is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. GiantSnowman 18:05, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
- What is this incident exactly? As I'm struggling to find mention of myself in connection to whatever the issue is, and I can assure you @GiantSnowman I've no intentions of bringing down the site or causing chaos. If it is in regard to my addition to Brooke Norton-Cuffy's page today, I accurately updated his appearance tally for Rotherham United and can assure you that the biography I added was also legitimate and will source local news' reports if/where necessary. Important notice
editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}}
on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
October 2022
editYou may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Ben Wiles. You've recently added unsourced information to Ben Wiles, Ollie Rathbone and Wes Harding. I would invite you to go back and update these edits with sources, otherwise they may be removed by other editors. Also please take note of formatting standards around ordinals (MOS:ORDINALDATE), presentation of football results and players heights. Gricehead (talk) 11:01, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
