UAAP S78 Templates

Hi. Thank you for your contribution with regards to the UAAP S78 Volleyball templates. I do have one request though. Is it possible for you to add a navigation bar for each section? It's hard to edit the templates now given they're all under one template. Thanks! User talk: Voncabriga 11:44, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

Comment moved

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I moved your comment from the volleyball submodule to Module talk:Sports table instead as centered discussion is better instead of talking only at the subs. I responded to your request as well. Qed237 (talk) 10:37, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

About tables in 2016 Women's European Volleyball League

Hello, TjBison.

About 2016 Women's European Volleyball League. Please, see the tables on this page. Sets and points are wrong. Can you fix it?

GAV80 (talk) 16:56, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Done. Thank you for noticing. TjBison (talk) 17:02, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
Thank you! Your "Vb cl9 team" is nice. Can you do same format on page 2016 Men's European Volleyball League? GAV80 (talk) 17:46, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
Currently in the proceess of doing it. TjBison (talk) 17:51, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
Thanks again. What do you think about live update in volleyball pages? I think that update after each set not needed, need update only if match finish. See today history. [1]. For example, in football pages in wikipedia no live update. GAV80 (talk) 18:04, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
I am aware of the issue of live updating. If you look at the WPProject Volleyball talk page, there was no discussion of the matter. Personally I don't mind it but if you want to know the general consensus, you can start the discussion over there and tag relevant users. TjBison (talk) 18:31, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Macedonia is not 100% through. There is a tiny change Denmark to qualify, so it's not 100%. If Macedonia beats Denmark today, then Macedonia will qualify. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Batbobi (talkcontribs) 10:05, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

There two remaining games left for each team in Pool A. Even if Denmarks wins all of their games and Macedonia loses theirs, Macedonia will still be on top with 4-2 record as opposed to 3-3 for Denmark.TjBison (talk) 10:34, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Template:Infobox volleyball club

Hi, not sure what you were attempting with this edit but it caused numerous errors on current pages using it. For instance Fenerbahçe Men's Volleyball, Fenerbahçe Women's Volleyball, OK Ibar Rožaje, OK Partizan, ŽOK Partizan Vizura, Zamalek SC (volleyball) etc. Not sure if this means the edit was a mistake or these articles need changing? Could you look again and see. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:36, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

If you examine the source text for Template:Volleyball kit the value for parameter name shorts1 and shorts2 should be hex value (e.g. shorts1=ff0000) while the value for parameter name pattern_sh should be extension of a file name (usually uploaded on Wikimedia) (e.g. pattern_sh= _bluestripeside).
The parameter name pattern_s does not correspond to any of the parameter names in the Volleyball kit template making it useless. Most people, are using the template incorrectly. If my edit caused errors on several pages, I think its because of the incorrect usage of the template. TjBison (talk) 15:17, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

Reverting edits

Excuse me. Why are you revert my edits on the attendance of top volleyball officials in a article on a certain volleyball league? Why nonpoliticization? Please explain that. I'm not aware on this. - Pinespunned

I reverted off your edit because the content is not specifically relevant to the subject of the article. Sports articles should be diverted from political association unless it has caused significant impact on the subject. TjBison (talk) 15:42, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
Ok. I understand that. Thanks by the way. - Pinespunned

Past squads

About this edit including squads for the 2016 Men's Pan-American Volleyball Cup, thank you very much. As your Filipino style used for example in the Shakey's V-League 11th Season 1st Conference#, in WikiProject volleyball we had agreed another use of this template and the names are not backwards by the way. The way used by the Filipino editors is way more difficult to link and work with. Please be willing to correct the use of this template in the near future and help with the already made edits. Thank you. --Osplace 19:08, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

UAAP S79 Reverted edit

Hi. Might I ask why the bold font for number of wins was removed? I understand that Wins > Points in terms of how UAAP ranks the teams (hence the new template) but it seems off that only the wins column is highlighted. Thanks! User talk: Voncabriga 09:27, 09 February 2017 (UTC)

Volleyball WL

Hi, I see that you've improved FIVB Volleyball World League statistics table on 17 July 2016‎. I originally made it but in the end was unhappy with those Xs as I didn't have the solution at the time. In the end I totally forgot about it, but than I ran across unsortable class and tried to make modifications but didn't know how. So I was wondering if it would be possible (more accurately if you could) to make adjustments so that the Xs are removed and the table looks like one here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.149.62.148 (talk) 19:59, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for addressing this case and I have subsequently modified the template. TjBison (talk) 20:26, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve 2017–18 Men's Volleyball Serie A1

Hi, I'm Boleyn. TjBison, thanks for creating 2017–18 Men's Volleyball Serie A1!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Thanks for creating this. At the moment, it shows as having no sources - all articles on Wikipedia need clear and obvious verified reliable sources. Where did you get your information - can you add the source? The 'External links' section is usually for friendly suggestions rather than sources, is that actually your source? In which case, it is a primary source and we need more than that. Can you please look this over and improve it.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Boleyn (talk) 06:21, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

Backwards

Before the UAAP Season 80 volleyball tournaments is expanded, I would like to discuss something.

  1. Why do you have to add rosters with the names backwards, like you, the Filipino editors did in the UAAP Season 79 volleyball tournaments article?
  2. Why shoud the template Template:UAAP Season 80 men's volleyball match-up results be filled with images and not results, like 3-0, 2-3 or something like that, not that difficult for vision impaired people?
  3. Is it necessary that every mention of a team in a table or result include that images with colors included in the Template:UAAPteam template?

There are some other editors difficult to discuss with. One of them was penalized for sockpuppetry. --Osplace 17:13, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

File names

Please be careful when naming file names... I recently moved File:Beth-CookBraves logo.svg to File:Bethune–Cookman Wildcats logo.svg because Bethune–Cookman's nickname is the Wildcats, not Braves. Corky Buzz by the Hornet's Nest 01:46, 16 December 2017 (UTC)

Licensing

Hello. I think you need to learn the difference between a Non-free logo and a Public domain logo. I've come across two files that you have uploaded (File:High Point Panthers logo.svg and File:American Volleyball Coaches Association logo.svg) that you uploaded as non-free, when clearly they are not copyrightable as they fail originality. Please read up before further uploading. Corky 04:31, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Logos

If you cannot take the time to make sure the sources are right, then please don't upload the files. This is getting old. File:North Alabama Lions logo.svg has not been the dark "Old gold" for a quite some time. In fact, if you had happened to take two seconds to look at www.roarlions.com or even the school's brand website, you would have seen that they are a light gold. Corky 23:30, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

So you are citing the athletic website rather than the Graphic Standards? TjBison (talk) 23:41, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
Yes, because it's the athletics logo. Most universities will have the correct information in their brand guides, but you should always check with the Athletics website first to make sure it is correct. Corky 23:50, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

"Accurate" meaning

What do you mean by "accurate version" over at File:University of Georgia seal.svg? There is no visual difference other than the h×w and coding... Corky 01:57, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

From a distance there may not be significant difference but if you look closer/zoom in, you can see the differences. TjBison (talk) 02:26, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
That didn't tell/show me anything. I had zoomed in before I left a message here... That's why I've come here... Corky 17:27, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
Zoom in on the svg files and not the raster version? TjBison (talk) 03:16, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
Based off of your responses, I'm to believe that there are not any actual changes other than the coding and h×w... I'm not sure how hard it is for you to just tell me because obviously I'm not finding the differences. Corky 03:40, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
  1. Circles and oblongs within the outer black circle
  2. Typeface
  3. Details to the Arch piece

I'm not sure what you're seeing and not seeing from both files. TjBison (talk) 02:41, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
