Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to The Promise (Girls Aloud song), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. ~~ [ジャム][talk] 20:10, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Upcoming Beastie Boys album

edit

A tag has been placed on Upcoming Beastie Boys album requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Rwiggum (Talk/Contrib) 20:25, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Upcoming Beastie Boys album

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Upcoming Beastie Boys album, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AmaltheaTalk 21:08, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi
Sorry that I nominated your very first article for deletion right away. The thing is, as long as there isn't much more verifiable material that can be used to build an article, we shouldn't have one. Instead, if there is verifiable material it should be first added to the band's article. If you're interested, the guideline for the whole thing is written down at WP:MUSIC#Albums.
If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me here or on my talk page, or ask at the WP:Help desk.
Cheers, AmaltheaTalk 21:15, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK I notice that it's not actually your first article. Nonetheless, feel free to ask if you have questions. :) --AmaltheaTalk 21:20, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Upcoming Beastie Boys album

edit

I have nominated Upcoming Beastie Boys album, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Upcoming Beastie Boys album. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.   Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Upcoming Beastie Boys album. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Hi. You have been asked before to provide a reliable source for your edits, in particular that the Beastie Boys are going to cover the Girls Aloud song on their next album, yet you went ahead and reintroduced it into the article nonetheless. Please understand that we cannot accept that, imagine what would happen to all articles here if we'd just allow all kinds of rumors to be added – that's why we have to insist on reliable sources for contentious material. I've offered you my help above if you have questions, please don't just readd it a third time. --AmaltheaTalk 15:05, 24 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removal of AfD notice

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tina Moore, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.last.fm/music/Tina+Moore. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page.   Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Tina Moore. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. Thank you. Hi, the source you are adding to One Day I'll Fly Away is not a reliable source as it is a fan forum and anyone can add information to them. Also the source of the information on the fan forum appears to have come from Wikipedia in the first place. Please read WP:RS and WP:SPS to see what are considered to be reliable sources. Thanks, --JD554 (talk) 08:34, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
