Omuthiya is a town in Oshikoto region in the northern namibia and became the capital of the region since 2008.omuthiyagwiipundi (camelthorn tree with resting benches) it was named after Mr moses Eriki ,a contractor was contructed a table and chairs under the tree to serve as a resting place for road users.In omuthiya town they is a shopping center,Railway,shell station,business center,omuthiya hospital,omuthiya town concillor and many more....Omuthiya is a costituency where Hon.Penda ya ndakolo is a govervor of oshikoto region.omuthiya is 10km near to Etosha National Park.In Omuthiya town you will find omuthiya open market which is well known in oshiwambo (omatala).
