Orphaned non-free media (Image:Dallas Holm Before Your Throne CD cover.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Dallas Holm Before Your Throne CD cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:31, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Officedallasholm.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:46, 6 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 20:46, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of QVL Pharmacy Holdings

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on QVL Pharmacy Holdings requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.thefreelibrary.com/Safescript+Pharmacies,+Inc.+Provides+Review+of+Current+Operations+in...-a0131534221. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. SwisterTwister talk 19:02, 30 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of QVL Pharmacy Holdings

edit

The article QVL Pharmacy Holdings has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable company. I have checked all sources and only Linkedin pages come up.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Wow. Freaking typical. Whatever Wikipedia.

I gather you're upset about the repeated deletion of QVL Pharmacy Holdings. Do you want to discuss it here, or are you too pissed off? --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:55, 16 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

No that's fine. I felt like nobody was listening when I would contest deletion or rant about all these deletions...
OK, let me know if you change your mind. --Floquenbeam (talk) 15:41, 17 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Huh? I said I'm ok talking about it here
Oh, I see.
So the main thing to keep in mind is that not everything is eligible for a Wikipedia page. It needs to be "notable", but not like you or I would use the word in casual conversation, but as described here. Basically it should be discussed, in some not-just-in-passing detail, in multiple independent reliable sources.
I can pretty much guarantee you won't be successful trying convince anyone here that this is an unreasonable criterion; we've fine tuned it over 15 years, and I'd guess there's a 1 x 10^-6 chance of it changing now. But, take a serious look at those three links above (and also, probably useful, at WP:Your first article). If after that. you think you can write an article that meets this criterion, then I can make some suggestions. If it doesn't quite meet that criterion, you're probably going to be out of luck, and it's not worth the time and heartache trying to get it to squeak by. --Floquenbeam (talk) 17:52, 17 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
