I moved your "user" page and your "user talk" page

edit

I moved your user page, User:Thulkey, to User:Thulkey/Starz University. Your user page is meant to tell other editors about your activities on Wikipedia. You can leave it blank if you choose. It is not for draft articles. Draft articles should be created as "user sub-pages" or as pages whose name starts with Draft:. For more information on user pages and user sub-pages, read Wikipedia:User pages. Since you were using your "user talk" page - that's this page you are reading right now - as a "talk" page for the draft article, I moved it as well. You can find it at User talk:Thulkey/Starz University. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 22:29, 29 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

You now have 3 drafts of "Starz University"

edit

There are 3 pages which appear to be drafts of this school.

Consider placing {{db-author}} at the top of two of them. This will alert an administrator to delete them, leaving them with only the one you want.

The three pages are:

Some reading material that might help you

edit

Writing an acceptable article for Wikipedia is not easy.

First, you have to find a "notable" topic. Most universities qualify, but some "trade school"- or "for-profit" ones as well as some very small ones might not.

Before spending more time on drafting an article about Starz University, I recommend you read WP:Your first article as well as WP:Notability and WP:Notability (companies and organizations).

If you DO come to the conclusion that this school is "notable" as Wikipedia uses the term, please read WP:Neutral point of view, WP:Independent sources, WP:Reliable sources, and WP:Citing sources. I also recommend at least skimming the policies and guidelines listed in WP:Policies and guidelines.

Finally, give WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Paid-contribution disclosure at least a quick read-through. If you have any affiliation with that university at all, or if you have or expect to receive any tangible benefit from writing this draft, read both documents carefully. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 22:41, 29 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia respects copyrights

edit

I noticed that some of your sandbox is copied nearly verbatim from the school's web site.

Wikipedia respects copyrights.

I recommend you "start fresh" with a new user sub-page, you can call it User:Thulkey/sandbox2 if you like. Once you have finished writing a draft in your own words, put the following at the top of User:Thulkey/sandbox:

{{db-user}}

An administrator will come along and delete it.

For more information on copyright rules, read WP:Copyright and WP:Close paraphrasing.

If you haven't read the other policies and guidelines listed at WP:Policies and guidelines, I recommend reading them as well, particularly those that deal with "content" and with legal issues. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 03:00, 30 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
