Thank You
I hope this is the right place to put this - I am still learning my way.
Thank you for removing the rapid delete from my article on Terence McShane. I also appreciate your comments. Be assured that the article is indeed being presented in good faith, and honestly reflects the milieu. As I am aware from your comments such topics have problems due to historical circumstance. I have put forward the best arguments I can for giving weight to the source of the recordings as independent and authoritative. At one stage I had access to other documentation, and I am currently trying to get access to similar from the family of an individual who I know had such documentation. I am also hoping that others who may have such documentation may edit the article. Regardless of the result of the deletion discussion, thank you for taking the time to give this article a chance.
PS. I hope to put up articles on other - hopefully less controversial topics. Your input and comment will always be appreciated.
Kindest regards Shaun
Why did you remove the proposed deletion tag on this article if you want it to be deleted anyway? I don't understand. If a page is already tagged for proposed deletion, taking it to WP:AFD will make it less likely to be deleted and slow down the deletion process. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 15:24, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- Although he didn't remove the prod tag, the article creator already specifically objected to the proposed deletion on the talk page. Per WP:PROD the reviewing administrator should decline to delete under those circumstances. In any case, it's inevitable that the author would have realized that they were permitted to remove the prod tag before it expired.
- Meanwhile, an early delete close is quite possible at AfD - possibly quicker than the prod. I'm not in a hurry (nor am I a rabid deletionist). I did learn something new about A2 yesterday though thanks to you!

- Okay, thanks. I hadn't known that the article creator had objected to the PROD on the talk page. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 03:21, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
