My name is Scottish but I wasn't born there. And, an Edit summary would have explained what you were doing. Britmax (talk) 08:29, 28 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

ERWIN HELMCHEN

edit

If you don't know him I'll simply introduce him to you as it was mentioned in RSSSF list 2 decades ago. Germ forward of 30s - 40s with VERIFIED 726 league goals, officially recognised by the German football association. Never played in national team although called for nearly 10 years but Serberger disliked him. An estimation of approximately 1400 goals in all games is known at least 10 years ago. RSSSF has problems to define the level of his playing and the number of games. Γεώργιος Τερζής 2 (talk) 10:08, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you; I don’t dispute his existence nor his goal scoring numbers. Hence I have left his numbers on the list on Wiki. Only they were predominantly scored in the German 2nd Division before the German Football Association was even founded. This contradicts the statement at the top of the page about play highest level of football for most of their careers. ThomasCPoore (talk) 16:37, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

THE STATS

edit

Do you know what happened with the world records of track and field during the 1980s? All were improved a lot but doping rules were different. IAAF was asked from a group of athletes for this a few years ago, and the answer of IAAF WAS that these records were official by their time and will remain as well (eg. records of Florence Griffith, Yuri Sedykh etc.). Wikipedia has no authority to define what is official and what not. Γεώργιος Τερζής 2 (talk) 10:55, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

FERENC PUSKAS

edit

I have just included the new stats of Ferenc Puskás in el. wikipedia. If you check them, you'll see that the big difference of his' previous stats (official goals) is the 28 goals (9 games) with Kispest reserve. In 1945 the championship of Hungary was organised in regional structure and after these few games postponed. Ferenc Deák scored more (31 in 8 games). And it's not copy paste from RSSSF : as I commented in the end there is a difference of 5 goals for friendlies with Real Madrid. Γεώργιος Τερζής 2 (talk) 21:50, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
