Speedy deletion nomination of EHour edit

A tag has been placed on EHour requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Ehour edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ehour requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Articles edit

You created the same article twice. Also, why did you move one of them into your userspace after it was nominated for deletion? Kindzmarauli (talk) 15:02, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

I was confused and didn't notice it ended up back in my userspace :/ Why was it nominated for deletion, I don't see the copyright infringement? Thies (talk) 15:10, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

btw, A7 does not apply to software while eHour is clearly software Thies (talk) 15:11, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on EHour, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

August 2014 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Dougweller (talk) 18:55, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi Doug. Its pretty hard to contest that the pages I added are promotional when Im blocked. Yes it is my own software that Im adding but when reading the "handling neutrality disputes" I fail to see why my article is marked as promotional. Unfortunately Im not getting any feedback except for generic speedy deletion nominations so its pretty hard for me to change anything or contest anything. Could you unblock me and provide feedback on why my article was flagged as promotional? Thanks!

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. PhilKnight (talk) 20:03, 21 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Hi Phil. The reason for my blockage is solely posting promotional pages. In my unblock request I ask for feedback (or actually a better constructed reason for blocking my added page) on why my page was marked as promotional as I don't see any violation of the Wikipedia policy, hence contesting the flag that it's a promotional page. That is addressing the reason why I'm blocked. I see it as an informational page thus it's useful and therefore I'm not causing 'damage or disruption'. Thanks.

Decline reason:

Apart from your posts on this page, all of your edits, most of which have been deleted, and which spread over a seven-year period, are edits promoting Ehour. If you are unable to appreciate the promotional nature of these edits then I can only suggest that this encyclopedia is not the medium you should attempt to work in. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:06, 21 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

In regard to your statement "Its pretty hard to contest that the pages I added are promotional when Im blocked", I disagree, it's no easier or harder to contest the article is promotional when you're blocked. Otherwise, given that you can't see what's wrong with the article, could I suggest you stop trying to recreate it? PhilKnight (talk) 21:01, 21 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
