Barai (caste)

edit

Thanks for registering an account. You will notice that various attempts have been made recently significantly to amend the content of the Barai article. I have no particular opinion regarding whether the article is correctly titled but there are numerous other problems with the attempted changes. Most significant among these is that we have a policy here that says all statements which are likely to be challenged must be verifiable, and the verification is enabled by providing citations of reliable sources. I would encourage you to read some of the blue links in this message and in the welcome message above in order that you get an understanding of how we operate. You cannot just write what you believe to be true, sorry. - Sitush (talk) 14:18, 18 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Shaun9876. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Barai (caste) because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. §h₳un 9∞76 15:13, 18 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

And I have done it again. You really need to stop this behaviour. Please take note of the information below. - Sitush (talk) 16:27, 18 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Barai (caste). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place "{{helpme}}" on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Barai (caste) was changed by Theoppulent (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.951775 on 2012-11-19T14:37:36+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 14:37, 19 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Please can you acknowledge having read the warning about sanctions above. I have had to revert you again and I am not the only person who has done so. I suggest that you spend a bit of time reading WP:COMMONNAME, WP:RS, WP:V and WP:CONSENSUS before contributing further to the Barai article, especially since it seems likely that it was you who was making exactly the same mistakes for several days previously as an IP/unregistered user.

I am happy to assist you in understanding our policies but there is little I can do if you will not communicate and insist on these continued breaches. You will be blocked from contributing if you continue in this manner, and you may be subject to other constraints as per the sanctions. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 17:02, 19 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

I see per the above that you have just done it again. Look, are you going to pay any attention and respond to the various messages on this talk page or should I just seek out an administrator and get you blocked for disruptive editing right now? There is a limit to how much of this behaviour we can tolerate. - Sitush (talk) 18:35, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I am now treating your edits as vandalism, sorry. You are repeatedly hijacking a sourced article and replacing the information with non-neutral, unsourced material that misrepresents the subject. - Sitush (talk) 18:49, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Barai (caste), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Stop your attempts to replace the contents of this article with unsourced and highly opinionated material. If you want the article changed, you must propose it on the talk page. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Favonian (talk) 20:20, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
