Where NOT to sign your edits edit

In two recent edits, you added a section citing a journal article, and ended your text with an endorsement of how good the article was, and then your signature. I left the edits intact except for removing the endorsement at the end, which sounded altogether too promotional, and the signature. You should indeed sign contributions to talk pages, but in the article text itself signatures are inappropriate. If you are associated in some way with the author of the article you are citing, then please be aware that there is a conflict of interest policy which you should adhere to.. See WP:COI. Thanks. I see you have added the same or similar text to a third article. Please stop the promoting of the article by adding a section about it to every related article. That seems to be giving it undue weight. Thanks. Edison (talk) 05:13, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Not sure how to message back to you to let you know I got your message. Sorry!! Still learning this thing!

January 2014 edit

This is your last warning. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Stop adding text promoting the same journal article, with your signature, to numerous Wikipedia articles. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing. Thank you. I got the message. This is all new to me and I was just doing what the tutorials advised me to do. I will stop signing my additions.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Theologyspecialist (talkcontribs)

  • And see WP:CITE, please. Your additions are useful (interesting article) but a bit on the wordy side. Drmies (talk) 05:20, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Theologyspecialist. you should sign your comments on this and other talk pages, with four tildes, like you were doing inappropriately in the articles. Also, stop spamming the article by adding text praising it in the various articles. I am not making any judgement as to whether the article is relevant in the articles where you have referenced it,since theology is not my own specialty, but the additions do seem to give it undue weight compared to all the previous scholarship.Thanks. • Actually, I don't think it's appropriate in Religious perspectives on Jesus at all (though that's where I just did some cleanup), since it's not so much about a perspective on Jesus. I may look again at this tomorrow. Drmies (talk) 05:29, 20 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Socio-Historical Examination of Religion and Ministry (SHERM Academic Journal) edit

Hello Theologyspecialist,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Socio-Historical Examination of Religion and Ministry (SHERM Academic Journal) for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
