RFD nominationsEdit

Please could you slow down with your RfD nominations. I've already spent an hour already today on RfD just dealing with your nominations on today's page and I haven't even looked at all of them yet. Not only is this placing an unreasonable burden on other editors it strongly suggests that you are not doing (adequate) WP:BEFORE with your nominations. Thryduulf (talk) 11:06, 19 July 2019 (UTC)

That I've had cause to close your nomination of Äpfel as speedy keep as a fundamentally incorrect nomination is further evidence that you are not taking enough care. Thryduulf (talk) 11:26, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
I have already been trying to go slow with the nominations (given how many I have to nominate). But duly noted; I was planning to post more today, but I'll save them for tomorrow. It is a WikiOgrish tendency. I am sorry for causing you unwanted trouble. I have always taken "Redirects for discussion" to mean what it means—for discussion. True, the redirects I list I intend to default to delete, but I am always looking for a discussion more than I am looking for deletion. As for Äpfel, that was obviously a mistake on my part. I'm sorry about that. I would have appreciated being allowed a chance to comment on (and withdraw) that nomination before it was closed. But it's all right. — the Man in Question (in question) 19:07, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
It's not the delete/discuss that's the issue, it's the volume of research you are asking other editors to do - you should also be doing a full review of each of the redirects you nominate before you nominate them (and ideally summarise your findings with the nomination), the speed and volume you're nominating them at suggests you aren't. Yes there will be some redirects that have obvious answers others spot you didn't - we don't expect perfection - but these should be a minority. Thryduulf (talk) 20:07, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
