The League of Crazy Men
The League of Crazy Men is taking a short wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia on August |
hi I'm new to wikipedia. I need to know how to place pictures in articles and how you upload it. The League of Crazy Men 10:16, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, simply click on "Upload file" in your "toolbox" on the left hand side of every page. Please see Wikipedia:Uploading images for more detailed information. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask again. (Remember to add the {{helpme}} template again so we know to check back). Cheers, Tangotango 10:29, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Esperanza!
editWelcome, The League of Crazy Men, to Esperanza, the Wikipedia member association! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.
Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is the StressUnit, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.
In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Possibles.
I encourage you to take an active voice in the running of Esperanza. We have a small government system, headed by our Administrator general, Celestianpower, and guided by the Advisory Committee comprised of JoanneB, FireFox and Titoxd. The next set of elections will be in April, we will keep you updated about the results. Because you are a new member, you are not able to vote in these elections, but you will be more than welcome to take part in the elections in June.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Celestianpower by email or talk page or the Esperanza talk page. Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC Tutorial written by one of our members. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!
Vacation
editOne day and you're taking a vacation? Have a good trip, and take plenty of pictures. (Especially for articles that don't have pictures yet... OK, maybe you don't have to do that. Just enjoy the trip.) --Elkman - (talk) 18:44, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Esperanza
editHi there, welcome to Wikipedia! I got your message on my talk page. If you have any questions about editing, etc, feel free to ask me! I see that you joined Esperanza. Unfortunately, people who want to join need to have made about 150 edits, and have stayed at least two weeks. I took the liberty of putting your name on the list of members who want to join, but don't meet the requirements yet. I do hope you stay and rejoin in a couple of weeks. Anyway, good luck editing, and ask me any questions you might have. ConDemTalk 20:14, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
DNA = Acid
editThis is an encyclopedia, and reading it would have answered your question. From the article:
- "DNA is an acid because of the phosphate groups between each deoxyribose. This is the primary reason why DNA has a negative charge."
For future reference, talk pages are for discussing matters relating to the structure, direction, and content of articles. If you have a question you are simply curious about which you could not find an answer to in the encyclopedia, a good place to start is the help desk.Shaggorama 01:29, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
It seems like you are an extremely new user, so I'm also going to do you a favor of dropping you the welcome message I received when I first joined. It has links to some good stuff in it. Good luck in your editing exploits.

Thanks for the compliment. It's mostly the work of User:Sango123. Glad that you're a part of Wikipedia. Tijuana Brass¡Épa!-E@ 11:23, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

editHey there,
I just checked in for (probably) the last time for a while, and noticed your msg! Thanks, I'll need all the luck I can get!
I understand you're heading for Italy? Cool, I'm jealous. Anyway, have a good time, and see you around sometime in August.

Wikismile
editAnonymous_anonymous_Have a Nice Day has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Smile to others by adding {{subst:smile}} or {{subst:smile2}} to their talk pages. Happy editing!
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
