A piece of gem edit

As I mentioned above. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:45, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: This is quite useful. I will utilise it soon. 16 Vayathinile is something I have had in mind since I first came here (Something like a pet project). I will finish that with Nayakan, then Thiruvilaiyadal and if possible Muthal Mariyathai. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 05:06, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
I think I sent you some info on 16 Vayathinile from Dhananjayan's 2011 book. Please check. If it's not there, I'll send you sooner, Kailash29792 (talk) 05:10, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: I have them and Dhananjayan's 2014 book notes (printscreen from Google preview). I just need Ramachandran's portions. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 05:13, 24 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
I have sent you them. Please check. Kailash29792 (talk) 02:43, 25 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Received them. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 07:48, 25 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Nenjil Or Aalayam edit

That looks like a good choice for your next GA. I know the free preview won't last forever, so screenshot the pages and keep them safe. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:50, 6 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: I have already done so before for all the 3 pages of the film. Since it contained a lot of information, I thought "Why not this as well?" Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 06:53, 6 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Mythology genre edit

I don't think "mythology" is officially recognised as a literary genre yet. Even "mythological film" redirects to fantasy film which reads, "Fantasy films are films that belong to the fantasy genre with fantastic themes, usually involving magic, supernatural events, mythology, folklore, or exotic fantasy worlds." So should we reconsider? But I have a second idea: we could create an article called List of Hindu mythology films, akin to List of sports films. Does List of Hindu devotional films also look like a good choice to create? Kailash29792 (talk) 12:01, 8 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: Yes, it definitely looks like a good article/list to create. Devotional films are more common in our country. Even Mythological films like Mayabazar and Karnan for example are considered devotional. Your call. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 12:09, 8 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
  Done created "List of Hindu devotional films". Kailash29792 (talk) 13:00, 8 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thiruvilaiyadal edit

Here are the pages from Pride by Danny. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:55, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: Thank you, Kailash. Can you send me Randor Guy's information on the film as well. You had sent me Ganesan's information earlier which I still have with me. Send them to thamizhan1593@gmail.com. Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 00:12, 8 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
  Done check your mail. There are two more pages not included in the mail, but I have used one of them, and the other has nothing substantive. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:42, 8 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
I found this through searching from TOI's e-paper site. See where you can use it. The citation can be written as:
Bharathwaj, R. (5 December 2008). "A different beat". The Times of India. Retrieved 8 October 2015. Kailash29792 (talk) 05:51, 8 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
This and this seem useful. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:27, 9 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
...and then these: [1], [2], [3] and [4]. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:50, 9 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
While Mayyam may definitely have useful content, I don't think it is wise to cite that in the reference (I mean, you can instead cite the sources they show). Kailash29792 (talk) 05:54, 10 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Jaguar may edit the article if he has time. But since I have already listed it at the GOCE, I think it's safe to also let Bafflegab (the most frequent GOCE editor) edit it, to make sure that the article is cleaner. But do not try to take the article to GA without adding this source. Kailash29792 (talk) 15:46, 10 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
A writing by Baradwaj Rangan. See where you can use it. I also found this, but its credibility is questionable. Kailash29792 (talk) 11:43, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Thank you, Kailash. I have used Rangan's reference. The other one doesn't look like a proper thematic analysis of the film. On the contrary, it looks like just saying/laying out the things that happen/feature in the film. Not like how we see, for example in Rangan's Conversations with Mani Ratnam. His and Ratnam's analysis of Mouna Ragam really look like, well, an analysis. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 12:53, 11 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I think it is necessary to say when an original work was published. In this case, the Thiruvilayadal Puranam was published in the 16th century AD. Can you find a RS for that? Kailash29792 (talk) 04:13, 13 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Although Naveena Thiruvilaiyadal is Lollu Sabha's parody of this film, this episode confuses me. Can you see it and conclude whether it references the film? I tried, but it seems not to reference the film. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:20, 13 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
I found something. And it would be great to see Thiruvilaiyadal touch at least 100 sources before its GA nomination. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:22, 13 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Kailash29792: Can you give the production section of Thiruvilaiyadal a good copyedit as per Dr. Blofeld's comments at the GAR? Thank you. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 12:42, 15 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'll see what I can do. But are you still passionate about a potential FAC? Cos I am. Kailash29792 (talk) 12:46, 15 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Kailash29792: Of course I am. It would be a great accomplishment if the article came up to FA status. Do give the production section a copyedit though. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 13:05, 15 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Erwadi dargah edit

You may have more info on this subject. There are conflicting reports on the name and the country of origin of the saint of the dargah. You may like to join me in expanding to post it on DYK.--Nvvchar. 09:29, 8 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
