UK Comics Wiki

edit

Hi Terence. I see you've been adding information to the articles on Tammy and Jinty based on your own personal experience and knowledge. You may find Wikipedia might not accept that information as it's "original research" and not based on secondary sources - but unfortunately there are few secondary sources where this information could be sourced, as comics fandom, academia and the few published comics historians like Denis Gifford haven't paid much attention to girls' comics and the writers and artists who made them. Perhaps you might like to contribute your knowledge to the UK Comics Wiki, where first-hand knowledge and original research in these neglected areas are more than welcome. --Nicknack009 (talk) 11:20, 28 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits to Tiger (Fleetway) has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Tiger (Fleetway) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • * [[Billy's Boots written by Fred Baker and drawn by John Gilliat)]] – moved to [[Eagle (comic)|Eagle]], then [[Roy of the Rovers (comic)|Roy of the Rovers]]
  • * [[Roy of the Rovers written by Tom Tully and drawn by David Sque and Yvonne ?)]] – spun off into its own comic in 1976 (but continued to have stories in Tiger for a couple of

Please refrain from making nonconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Tiger (Fleetway) with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism. Thank you. I protest. Terences's edits may be original research, but they are good faith edits and don't deserve to be called vandalism. --Nicknack009 (talk) 17:41, 30 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Battle Picture Weekly. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. DVdm (talk) 19:02, 30 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Can we de-escalate here? The first warning was by a bot, and the second was mistaken, as admitted by the editor who made it. Terence is new and hasn't got the hang of the rules yet, but he clearly means well and could be a useful contributor if we don't scare him off first. --Nicknack009 (talk) 19:50, 30 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Ranger (magazine), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. C(u)w(t)C(c) 16:41, 31 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

While I did believe my prior warning was an error, your addition to Ranger (magazine) was an unsourced edit, which was either a deliberate introduction of errors or an obvious COI. Please review Wikipedia's guidelines before you continue editing. Thank you. C(u)w(t)C(c) 16:43, 31 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sandie (comics)

edit

Hello Terencemagee,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sandie (comics) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Carbinga (talk) 13:54, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
