  Hello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I noticed that you made a change to an article, List of Winx Club episodes, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Diffs: [1] Future events must be sourced per WP:CRYSTAL Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:20, 28 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi, related to this request for sources, can you please help me understand these changes? While sourced, according to the reference, some of these episodes have already aired, for instance in 2013 and 2014. Feel free to reply here. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:40, 29 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I added the episode air dates for Nick Jr. because they recently moved Winx Club there. I looked at my DVR guide and some of the episodes are listed so that is why I added it. I put a source down for the upcoming episodes that will be airing.--TTTE Thomas (talk) 02:04, 7 August 2015 (UTC)TTTE ThomasReply

  Hello, I'm Electricburst1996. I noticed that you recently removed some content from List of programs broadcast by Nickelodeon without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hi there, I'm saddened to have to admonish you for this edit, where you clearly paste content from this source in to the article. This is completely intolerable, particularly when you ignored four obvious notes warning you that summaries must be written from scratch, and that copyright violations are taken seriously. I genuinely do not understand how an editor can think they are helping the project by adding plagiarized content into articles. Let this please serve as your only warning on the matter. If you use lifted content like this again, or even closely paraphrase, I will have no option but to block your account. Thankfully, this should be fairly easy to avoid. Additionally, NickALive is not considered a reliable source as it is a blog, so please do not refer to it in articles. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:00, 26 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thomas & Friends (series 19)

edit

May I ask why you removed "Snow Place Like Home" as an of episode of said season? I have confirmation from the writer that it will be in Series 19. --ACase0000 (talk) 17:22, 28 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

I removed it because there were no sources. Also, where did you get confirmation from the writer. I'm curious to know.--TTTE Thomas (talk) 20:31, 28 August 2015 (UTC)TTTE ThomasReply
I Emailed Mr. Pressman. --ACase0000 (talk) 01:35, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
(talk page stalker) Which of course would never be suitable for inclusion at Wikipedia per WP:OR. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:00, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Cyphoidbomb: Is there a way I can show the email in private? --ACase0000 (talk) 02:08, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Content must be verifiable. We can't go to a library and access your email account. What you personally know or personally have access to is not sufficient for inclusion at Wikipedia. We don't, for example, just let medical doctors write whatever they want at Wikipedia simply because they know it or because they have access to their own medical records. If they make a claim about a function of the aortic valve that nobody knows about yet, they have to support it with references to reliable sources that other editors can verify. Some editors choose to use Twitter to ask people about certain information, which makes the content more verifiable, but there's still the matter of accuracy and suitability for inclusion. 1) Are we asking a verified account, or are we assuming that he's legit? 2) Does the contact have a reliable knowledge about a topic? A writer may have knowledge of how the series was produced and in what order, but they don't know for sure when an episode will air, or how the episode will be packaged. Only the programming department at the network knows that. 3) We can't base large portions of content on primary sources, which is what asking the writer constitutes. We can base some content on that, but not much. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:19, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Reliable sources

edit

Re: this, NickAndMore is not considered a reliable source. See WP:TVFAQ. If you intend to edit here, you need to be familiar with what types of sources can be used. Blogs cannot be used. User-contributed sites like IMDb, TV.com, TV Tropes, Wikia, and Wikipedia itself cannot be used. Wikipedia wants content that comes from reliable published sources that have reputations for fact checking and clear editorial policies—newspapers, magazines, books, online news sources, TVGuide, etc. Twitter should be used with care. A TV writer, for instance, would reasonably have knowledge of a specific episode's title. He would not, however, be a reliable source for an airdate because writers are not in charge of programming. These are but a few examples. Please read WP:RS, because if you do not familiarize yourself with the types of sources that are reliable, you will find many of your edits reverted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Diffs: [2] Content found in these edits can be found here and here for example. I'm not sure what was confusing about the previous warning you received for copyright violations, but 1) stop copying or even closely paraphrasing from other sources and 2) your account will be blocked if you do it again. Winx Club (season 3)

edit

Please familiarize yourself with WP:COLOR and Template talk:Infobox television season#Colour to further understand the value of contrasting colours, as per your edit on Winx Club (season 3) - red is not a compliant colour for users with sight issues. If you check this, the second labeled "WCAG 2 AAA Compliant" is "NO" - it must equal "YES". Alex|The|Whovian 02:52, 6 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Problematic references

edit

Hi there, your edits here are problematic because you're using an ephemeral reference, i.e. a weekly schedule for November 25–29, 2015 that will someday expire, as proof that certain episodes will air in 2016. I don't see the 2016 dates in the link provided here. Note that content must always be verifiable. Even if you find a reference like this schedule that shows that the episodes were slated to air this week, when next week comes, that information will likely no longer be accessible, which makes the reference insufficient. Instead, you should be citing stable episode lists that anyone can check at any time in the future to verify air dates. Archived web pages are sometimes very useful for this. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Thomas & Friends (series 22), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Amazon (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
