Speedy deletion nomination of User:TJJCA

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:TJJCA requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hey man im josh (talk) 19:41, 14 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm not sure how I have violated the U5 criteria for deletion under blatant misuse. Could you please elaborate so I can fix the situation? TJJCA (talk) 20:53, 16 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Blocked as a sockpuppet

Request reason:

I'm being accused of being a sock puppet, and I'm not one. I've used wikipedia for a long time but up until lately have not felt like my contributions could better the platform. I created an account to comment on the Bruce Faulconer up for deletion discourse as he is one of my favorite composers and I've kept tabs on his work. Looking at the page, it seems that all comments made in favor of keeping the page have been deleted and I can imagine accounts like mine are being flagged and blocked to keep from contributing. Censorship of valid information is directly in contrast to Wikipedia's mission so I wish there was more I can do. I tried to add detail to my user page to show that I'm my own person but that got deleted under U5 as well, so when I rewrote it I tried to be more vague. I'm trying to learn the platform as a contributor, but at every step Wikipedia is seeming less and less like a source I can trust as a user. I work in television and film production and one of the companies I worked for a year ago needed me to do IP research into Dragon Ball Z. I spent weeks and weeks in the Dragon Ball Z wiki. I'm familiar with the ins and outs of it and there isn't benefit of merging the page into just Dragon Ball Z. Just because my first contribution is in defense of someone doesn't mean I'm being puppeted by them. It's hard to defend against this but I will provide whatever information is necessary and adjust course. I just don't know how what I've said or done is wrong. Decline reason:

Multiple new accounts are created on the same day, all go to the same deletion discussion, and they all something some variation of ""notable only for one event" DOES NOT STAND". There's obviously something fishy going on here, like being recruited to vote a certain way from some anime forum. This violates our policies again meat puppetry and canvassing. To be unblocked, you'd need to explain what's going on. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:51, 17 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
