You seem to be off to a good start, but your references seem to link to places to calculate fuel charge, without actually containing any of the information contained in the article. Ideally, before we "go live" with this article, we should find external references that talk about everything the article does. See the wikipedia policy pages on original research and on citing your sources for more on this. Also, consider expanding the concept beyond overland freight shipping, as a quick search at Wikipedia: hear shows that lots of articles use the terminology in reference to other sorts of situations, such as air travel or even low-carbon economies. You should also find ways to "link this in" to other articles by "Wikifying" the article with Wikilinks. See WP:WIKIFY for more info on this. Finally, the article shows a distinctly AMerican bias; you should probably look into how other nations handle this fuel surcharges. However, none of that will really kill the article as much as a lack of sources will. Perhaps an example situation would help those who aren't in the freight/shipping field. Also, it is never explained where the base figure of $1.10-1.15 comes from or why it matters. I'll echo what has already been said though, you're off to a good start. Dismas|^(talk) 08:02, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
