Editing at Raúl Cuero

edit

Thanks for taking an interest in the Raúl Cuero article. Biographies of living persons (aka WP:BLP) can be challenging to write as we have to take extra care to source all claims made, particularly controversial ones. There can be a temptation to use wikipedia as a CV hosting service (or, for that matter, an attack site); neither is appropriate.

I'd like to invite you to the article talk page (Talk:Raúl Cuero) and discuss what you would like to the skeleton article that's up right now, as well as any other concerns you might have with the page. I'd prefer you not edit the article until we can establish a consensus (which need not be unanimous) for what the article should contain.

You may also leave questions or concerns on my own talk page. The wikipedia teahouse is designed to answer the questions of new users, and the people there are particularly friendly.

Best,

I've left a response for you on my talk page. Lesser Cartographies (talk) 23:17, 30 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
I've reverted your edits. Please talk about the edits before you make anymore. Please remember that nobody owns an article. Bgwhite (talk) 00:03, 31 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
There are two factions fighting over this page. One wants the page gone, the other wants to add every tidbit of info into the page. You need to goto the talk page (Talk:Raúl Cuero) and work things out. Having one group delete everything and the other group adding everything will just end up with the page protected and nobody can edit it. You need to state your case on the talk page and compromise. SwinburneMel and Lesser Cartographies, I just put protection on Cuero's page. Only confirmed editor's can edit for the next week. The vandalism edits were getting out of hand. SwinburneMel, if you want anything changed in the article, Lesser can do that for you. When the protection ends in a week, will see how vandalism goes at the point. If it continues, I'll extend the time period of the protection. I can't remember the threshold for becoming a confirmed editor. But, if you edit other articles, you can gain that status. WP:AUTOCONFIRM says 10 edits and 4 days, so SwinburneMel should be able to edit the page this weekend. Lesser Cartographies (talk) 18:31, 31 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
