Why did you just do this? Why are you editing my sandbox?--Jac16888Talk 18:09, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

How did you even find it? Wikipedia:Sandbox is for everyone, or you could just make your own at User:ChaosControl1994/Sandbox. Which you already have done.--Jac16888Talk 18:11, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Vandal patrolling edit

Hey, nice work with the AIV reports. We need folks like you and you're doing a valuable service. However, the way you're reporting the users makes it a bit difficult for us admins to follow up on your reports. Here's the suggested format from the comments in WP:AIV:

Please copy and paste an appropriate example to the very bottom of the page.

Anonymous Users (IP addresses):
* {{IPvandal|IP address}} brief reason for listing (keep it short) ~~~~

Registered Users:
* {{Vandal|username}} optional brief reason for listing (keep it short) ~~~~
* {{Userlinks|username}} optional brief reason for listing (keep it short) ~~~~

This way it is easier for us to follow up on these highly valuable reports. Keep up the good work! Toddst1 (talk) 21:05, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the help and good work down in AIV blocking the vandals :) ChaosControl1994 (talk) 21:07, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: Benz Viktoria edit

Hello ChaosControl1994. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Benz Viktoria, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Article needs expanding or maybe redirecting, but it's not a hoax - see File:Benz Viktoria.jpg. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 19:56, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Uncharted 3 (video game) edit

I have nominated Uncharted 3 (video game), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Uncharted 3 (video game). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ukexpat (talk) 20:27, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppets edit

Ummm, please read WP:SOC to find out rules for alternate accounts. It's not against the rules per se. noisy jinx huh? 20:55, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Samuel Charles Whitbread edit

Just to say that I've declined a speedy deletion tag you placed on the above-captioned article, but I wanted to mention that the material that caused me to decline it was placed there after you tagged it. The article is a very brief stub still, but has an "under construction" tag and sufficient notability to meet the guidelines. If you have any questions or problems, I'm at your service. Final warning on User talk:Aa42john edit

I'm not sure the "final warning" for disruptive editing on User talk:Aa42john's talk page is justified [1]. Although there are previous speedy deletion warning tags on that page, only one of them turned out to be warranted. The other articles were kept - one of them through an AfD - so those previous warnings weren't valid. Also, the current speedy deletion tag for no indication of notability on Joe Glenton isn't really correct - because he has indicated why (he believes) he's notable, although whether he actually is or not is obviously another question. The talk page notes that he might not warrant an article for WP:BLP1E, but that is a different reason than CSD A7, which is the one given on the speedy deletion tag. Note also that he's also politely accepted other advice on his talk page as well. Could you have a look at it again and remove the warning (not the deletion tag, just the final warning) if you agree. 92.6.218.120 (talk) 22:40, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have removed the warning in good faith. ChaosControl1994 (talk) 08:41, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Lemaymedia edit

I'm not sure you're level 4 warning on User:Lemaymedia was quite justified. Ok so he removed a CSD you'd added to one film article and then created an article about the director of the film which I nominated for CSD. An appropriate level 1 for removing the CSD and another for possibly creating inappropriate articles is fair enough but the series of actions doesn't merit a level 4 straight off. NtheP (talk) 13:25, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'll keep that in mind, thanks :) ChaosControl1994 (talk) 13:26, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
No sweat. I just have to keep reminding myself about WP:BITE and vow never to become an admin, there are times when I'd be far too trigger happy with the block button :-) NtheP (talk) 13:28, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
It's just one of those things where you see a user making more than one inappropriate edit and then you just jump straight to {{uw-create4im}}. I'm sure everyone does it from time to time and that's how we learn from our mistakes so that we don't get to comfortable. ChaosControl1994 (talk) 13:33, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

User talk:Brian o donohue edit

Don't you think a final warning for a first offense is over kill? I generally give the full template progressive unless they create and attack page. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 15:21, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have removed the warning and have given the user a slap on the wrist with some advice and no {{uw-create}} template. ChaosControl1994 (talk) 19:42, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks edit

That was nice. Toddst1 (talk) 15:42, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hey, we have a tool called twinkle that will help you wit a lot of the work you do here. It makes it much easier to both warn disruptive editors as well as to report disruptive editors to WP:AIV, Wikipedia:UAA or WP:SPI to with a just a couple of clicks. Check it out. Just remember that the same protocols in issuing warnings still apply even though you can warn 10x as many editors in the same amount of time. Good luck. Hey thanks, think I'll check it out. ChaosControl1994 (talk) 19:44, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Help me, please! edit

I don't know whats happening. I'm the editor of my school newspaper. I was just trying to create a page for it. Am I not supposed to? Also, what were you saying about the username? I'm not a vandal, I'm just really confused. I don't want to be deleted. Please help!

P.S. If I'm not supposed to have put this message here, please forgive me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheOcadian (talkcontribs) 21:48, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

You did the right thing by asking me. The newspaper is not notable enough to be on Wikipedia, hence the speedy and your username is the same as the paper and the admins can trace that which is why I suggested a name change at WP:Changing username. Don't feel guilty about writing on the talk page, I'm here to help. ChaosControl1994 (talk) 21:52, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have removed the username report against you from WP:UAA so that I can give you a lifeline. ChaosControl1994 (talk) 21:57, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Does that mean I can keep the username, or should I still change it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheOcadian (talkcontribs) 22:02, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

The page hasn't been removed yet so I suggest changing it as the admins can revert my edit on the username report page. ChaosControl1994 (talk) 22:04, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Note to "TheOcadian", here's what to expect from Wikipedia... note this is not a forum or website for anyone to be promoting anything, which per our policy on WP:ADVERT, WP:SPAM & WP:SPAMLINK, is liable to be removed and the editor BLOCKED. Furthermore, the website might be blacklisted by Wikipedia and several other search engines for reasons obvious. Another thing, if you wish to write about this article, my suggestion is that you change to another username to start it in your private capacity. If you were to do so in your official capacity, you are subjected to another editing policy of Wikipedia, that is a conflict of interest issue. It may sound like a lot of minefield lying about here on Wikipedia but really, all it takes is you taking your time to read through the welcome section, which I will be providing you, in order to make a better decision on what to do and what not. If there is any other thing that you might find in need of clarification, please feel free to ask. Thank you. --Dave ♠♣♥♦1185♪♫™ 22:06, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks so much for help, guys! I just have one more question. How do I change my username? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheOcadian (talkcontribs) 22:16, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tree-preneur edit

I've taken your SD tag off this, 'cos it's not vandalism. The term may or may not be notable, but it does exist in South Africa. I'm looking for some refs now to add to it as it seems an interesting concept. If I can't find them, it may have to go - but as non-notable. Peridon (talk) 20:34, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Briol & Associates, PLLC edit

I noticed that you put a (perfectly valid) CSD tag on this article as it has no content other than the title. With articles like this, where it is not blatently obvious that the article won't be eligable for inclusion, it is normally better to wait for 10-15 minutes before tagging it (you tagged it only a minute after creation), as articles like this are often expanded shortly after creation. • Agreed that it makes no sense but the boy is still learning, only not as fast and oftentimes making little blunders along the way. Maybe I misunderstand about blocked having not been blocked, but I was thinking that someone who is blocked indefinitely would not be able to response. SD hoax tag for Joey Kramer Hit Hard edit

Hi, you tagged this article for deletion.[2] It does actually appear to be genuine, but since it reads like an advert it'd probably be a G11 rather than a G3. Mephistophelian (talk) 21:27, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the heads up, the advert detail must have been added after I put up the G3. Thanks again for the correction. SuperSonic SPEED (formerly known as ChaosControl1994). 21:30, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have declined the speedy deletion. Cheers, JohnCD (talk) 21:35, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hi. Please be a little less quick on the trigger with newbies. Even before Saadamy put his reference on his article, a simple search showed that it wasn't a hoax, and he didn't even remove the speedy tag - just correctly added a "hangon" and explained on the talk page what he was trying to do. To call him a "vandalism-only account" was quite unjustified.
For doing quick searches, I find a useful technique is to keep a sandbox open in an extra browser tab with {{findsources|}} set up in it: then one can paste whatever it is in, click "Show preview", and have useful search links instantly available. ==Speedy deletion nomination of SkyRebel Communications Manifesto edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as SkyRebel Communications Manifesto, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. skyrebelquinn 23:37, 12 March 2010 (UTC) ==

I just wanted to ask why you felt my page fell under the vandalism category? I run SkyRebel Communications Network. Also, from the looks of this page and the comments on it, you should probably stop sniping (oh... my apologies, patroling) pages so much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skyrebelquinn (talkcontribs) 23:37, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Just an observation - seems like more then one user here with tone issues. Jeepday (talk) 11:25, 13 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

(Ok mother, I'll make sure I watch my tone. I wouldn't want to get grounded. What the heck?) It may seem like an unremarkable company to you, but it may not to someone else. The point of Wikipedia is that people can add content they feel is informational to others. I felt it was as it describes the core values of my organization. By the way, it was marked as three different things and two of those were removed before it was finally deleted. I think that's proof enough that no one had a real reason to delete it. —Preceding unsigned skyrebelquinn 18:15, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Also, as far as "tone issues" go, you attacked my page and removed it. Am I supposed to enjoy that or something? skyrebelquinn 18:15, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

I don't recall attacking your page, if I caused any offense then I apologize but you need to learn to be more calm with these situations. SuperSonic SPEED (formerly known as ChaosControl1994). 18:17, 13 March 2010 (UTC) Reply

Sigh. Ok, I got too upset. Thanks for apologizing, and I can assume you were trying to do the right thing. As this was my first article, can you give me the reasons (the exact ones, specific for my page, not the general category) it was deleted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skyrebelquinn (talkcontribs) 18:21, 13 March 2010 (UTC) Reply

Sure, the article you created was found as an unremarkable company or organisation because SkyRebel has not done anything that is notable worldwide or nationwide. Heres an example: Wal-Mart is well known worldwide as well as across the USA, SkyRebel may be well known across a small area but its not enough to warrant an article on Wikipedia. If it helps, you may recreate the page at User:Skyrebelquinn/SkyRebel Communications Manifesto as it won't be subject to speedy deletion and you can get it evaluated and recieve help on how to improve it so that it can possibly be moved onto the encyclopedia later on. Feel free to use my talk page if you would like any help. Regards, SuperSonic SPEED (formerly known as ChaosControl1994). 18:26, 13 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well... no. I can't exactly accomplish something to help the world in one month. I'm only seventeen. So in order to be on Wikipedia, I have to have benefited thousands?
