Cross System

I've replied on my talkpage. Also, remember posts on user talkpages are to be placed at the bottom. I nearly missed your post. -ZeroTalk 20:47, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

...No wonder nothing was done when I posted on people's talk pages. XD. If you think that's for the best...Sukecchi 21:06, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
I rarely mix and match conversation between talkpages. When I reply on my talkapages, I typically only check there. -ZeroTalk 21:08, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
I've transwikied the pages. Check over the links: Cross System and Soul Unison and tell me what you think. My preference would now be to get those articles formatted similar to Style Change, with a lovely table and ecyclopediac descriptions. If you need anything else, feel free to give me a shout. -ZeroTalk 16:07, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
  • I need assistance on the Colonel (Mega Man) page, please. I don't anything about the Colonel in MegaMan Battle Network 5. Can you write up a bio for him in the article....? I also posted on the talkpage concerning this. -ZeroTalk
I'll write something up in a couple days, I'm kind of busy right now.Sukecchi 20:06, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

Super Smash Brothers Brawl

It's not fan discussion, it's a list of the most popular characters that fans would like to see in Super Smash Bros Brawl. And since the director of Super Smash Bros Brawl wants ideas for characters, the ones on the list are some of the most requested. So yes, my segment has a bit of involvement. If you want fan discussion, there are millions of forums and message boards all around the internet. Either that or talk to your friends about it. Joey368 13:05, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

True, but still. Such requests by fans are making a big impact on the making of Super Smash Bros Brawl. They added Ice Climbers bacause they felt like it. They will add Pit because the fans want him in the game. In WarioWare Twisted, if you highlight the Kid Icarus minigame, the crawler says that it's the closest you'll get from having a sequel. Tell me, did they put that sentence in there because they felt like it? I doubt it. Also, there is a Wiki article on the list of Wii games & some are rumored, but left up there, no matter who the wise guy that put them up there was.Joey368 13:14, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm not saying discussion among fans is bad. I AM saying however it has no place in the artice. They can talk all they want but it doesn't belong in the artice because it offers no information to the artice.

And besides, every other list of characters people have added have been removed.Sukecchi 17:15, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Please stop this senseless Edit war on the SSBB page. If you think the content should be a certain way, discuss it. If you cannot reach an agreement request mediation. You are in danger of violating the three-revert rule on a page. Please cease further reverts or you may be blocked from further editing. --Dbackes 19:25, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi, um... wondering why my archive discussion starter thing in the Smash Bros. Brawl talk page was "not necessary" not a complaint, just a curiosity. Perhaps the archiving process for pages as active as that one are different than I thought?Fiveinacan 00:47, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Citing sources

Hi! Sorry about the delay, I was away from my computer for a couple hours. There are many ways to cite sources, and most of the major styles can be found at WP:CITE. However, we should probably remain consistant throughout the page, so this is how that page is doing sources: Add

<ref name="NAME OF REFERENCE HERE">{{cite web|last=|first=|authorlink=|coauthors=|date=|year=|month=|url=|format=|work=|pages=|publisher=|language=|accessdate=|accessyear=|curly=}}</ref>

Filling out as many of those blanks as you can (at least make sure to fill out the reference name (whatever you want to call it), the URL, and the date that you accessed it. You can see an example of how this is used in intro of the Super Smash Bros. Brawl page. If you've done it correctly, it should show up as a small number, and then you can click at that number to get to the footnotes at the bottom. Let me know if you have any further questions. The real Japanese names of Lan Hikari and Mayl Sakurai

Very few people know this.. but it's NET Hikari, Not Netto! [1]

And MAIL, not Meiru [2]

And, yes, this is the official Rockman Axess site. Isn't this grand? WhisperToMe 20:40, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Netto and Meiru are the romanization of their names. While it may be Net, it's pronounced Net-to.
The same goes for Meiru, because of the L-R situation in the Japanese language. So Meiru is Me-i-ru.
And if you still don't think I'm right then I have more proof for ya.Sukecchi 21:51, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm aware how they are pronounced... and it doesn't matter. Look at Death Note - The Japanese intended for his name to be "Light Yagami", NOT "Raito Yagami" - Now, that's not to say all is lost - the pronunciation is noted in Lan's article like this Net Hikari (Japanese Hikari Netto) WhisperToMe 18:35, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Why are you making a big deal over this? No one has ANY problem saying Netto or Meiru, just you. >_>Sukecchi 19:15, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Because 1. It's the truth and 2. I can. "No one has ANY problem saying Netto or Meiru, just you. " then everyone else is wrong and I am right. WhisperToMe 20:28, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
(Dumb section of my own argument erased by myself --Poochy 01:34, 31 May 2006 (UTC)) Saying "everyone else is wrong and I am right" helps a case about as much as doing a duet with Ashlee Simpson helps a singing career. --Poochy 00:39, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Calm down Poochy, go over there. Now, I have asked my friends (Who know Japanese) their thoughts on this subject, and this is what they have to say. Names are censored:

<???> okay, any way, if it's a double pun, the guy's technically half right XP <???> and since I trust Izumi's saying on this more than anyone's, so, all you can do is point it is a double pun, and offer pictures of the character's name in kanji <???> since technically Capcom's 'engrish' spellings aren't always the best to go by. <???> hello Glaga *gag*

Netto is spelled in kanji and is technically Netto, not Net. The pun was meant for Net, but there is a kanji Netto (heat spot) as there is one for Saito. Netto used hiragana to spell his name in that one episode of Axess where Meiru dreams that she cross fuses.

And that site you linked to? That's for Axess, the anime, and is not the official EXE site. http://www.capcom.co.jp/rockmanexe/ is.Sukecchi 00:55, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Either way, the officials seem to have a tendency to switch between the intended English and the romanization. I remember seeing official art with "Rokkuman" in the background. Let's try to compromise on this one, shall we? And I like a good debate, but for crying out loud, don't take your point and smack people over the head with it, that'll only look like trolling and cause a flame war. --Poochy 01:06, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
One more thing: I think it may help both of you to think your arguments through and thoroughly before posting. Which is something I probably should've done, too. *takes an eraser to part of his previous comment* --Poochy 01:34, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Possibly we could do something like this

Netto (Possibly Net *Link to some explaination concerning the contraversy*)

For Netto and Meiru.

Okay.. 1. Just because a name is spelled in kanji doesn't mean it cannot refer to a name that is not "standard Hepburn" - The main character of Death Note is Light Yagami, NOT Raito Yagami. It doesn't matter if his name is spelled in kanji. 2. The Axess site is official too. Guess who gave the license to use the Mega Man characters? Capcom did.

"okay, any way, if it's a double pun, the guy's technically half right XP <???> and since I trust Izumi's saying on this more than anyone's, so, all you can do is point it is a double pun, and offer pictures of the character's name in kanji <???> since technically Capcom's 'engrish' spellings aren't always the best to go by"

Actually - Net and Mail are the English, while Netto and Meiru are the Engrish. I have not seen one official instance of the two characters' names being romanized this way. ALL of the times I've seen this name in Roman characters = Net and Mail. WhisperToMe 22:08, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

WhisperToMe 22:07, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

"::We've all agreed to use Netto but ACKNOWLEDGE Net in the trivia section .Sukecchi 12:10, 30 June 2006 (UTC) "

Then how come Urutapu and I haven't heard of this? It hasn't been decided. The mention can stay, but the issue is over which name to use. Unless you can find a case of Capcom using "Netto" and "Meiru" in roman characters, "Lan" and "Mail" would remain "correct" in the sense that those are the names Capcom intended. Now, it is true that conventionally the names would be "Netto" and "Meiru", but sometimes the Japanese do not intend for the "conventional" names to be used. WhisperToMe 14:11, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

I linked you to those already...they clearly say Netto and Meiru. Those names are more commonly accepted through out the fandom. If we can't agree on this, then we need settle this with a vote. I'm getting sick of this. -Sukecchi 14:25, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
The fandom doesn't make up the names. There have been MANY cases where the fandom is wrong. I will be glad to continue debating this. WhisperToMe 22:37, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Once again you ahve completly ignored the TWO IMAGES that say NETTO and MEIRU. -Sukecchi 23:20, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
Oh - I'd like to know where they came from, first. Why not resolve this by looking for more images and figuring out which ones are official or not...? This isn't over until which name is which is figured out. By the way, thanks for showing me how Dekao Oyama's name is spelled :) WhisperToMe 23:44, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
These images are postcards created by Capcom. There is one for each Navi and Operator Team from EXE 1 to EXE 5. Not quite sure about EXE 6 just yet.
http://www.animenation.com/4906582087.html
This links to the EXE4 Postcard Book., which has one of Netto in it as well: http://www.rockman-exe.com/rockman/gallery/displayimage.php?album=9&pos=17
For now, why not have a footnote much like the one in the Saddam Hussein article regarding the "two" names? Your idea with the acknowledging works now that it's not known which one is intended. With Might Guy and Light Yagami it's very, very clear which name is intended. WhisperToMe 23:57, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
So does this mean we finally have this whole stupid thing figured out? XD -Sukecchi 23:58, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
It means we have a palatable solution for now. Now that you've shown me the postcards, it's unknown which name is "intended", as far as I know. Maybe I could write the Japanese producers and ask which names are intended. By the way, check out the footnotes :) WhisperToMe 00:01, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Wasn't me

I didn't throw in that rumor that you just removed. I was just fixing some stuff that was in the potential rumor originally written by someone else. So I did not start that dark rumor on the SSBB article. 24.188.203.181 02:22, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

List of MegaMan Battle Network Viruses

  • Hi Sukecchi, would you mind adding your imput to this page's talk page on the issue of grounds for this article's deletion? I see it as very unnecessary, but the article's author disagrees, and has removed the proposed deletion notice from it as a result. A consensus on the matter could help settle things. Thanks a lot. --Benten 04:29, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
    • On second thoughts, forget about it. There's actually a more complicated process that needs to be set up in order for the discussion to actually amount to something, which I don't actually really want to get into since it's pretty arduous. --Benten 04:41, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Battle Network pages

Hi Sukecchi. This message is just to inform you that we're currently moving all the Battle Network game pages so that their titles all read "Mega Man Battle Network ____", and editing the text referencing the games to be the same. The anime page and character names, however, will remain the same, as that is what discussions have led us to (the game spells "Mega Man" the title as two words, the anime/manga as one). In any case, I just wanted to tell you this, so that if you see this sort of thing, not to alter things improperly or move the articles just because they've been changed this way. Thanks. --Benten 23:44, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Shinji's Azumarril

You mean he GIVES it away, as far as I'm concerned the episode hasn't aired yet. If you have an official source stating it, and not just your word, witch really means nothing then you can add it, I believe you, but you need a internet source. Gran2 13:58, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

The only other source is Bulbapedia...and sourcing other Wikis isn't the best idea. But the episode has aired and the torrent is out if you'd like to see for yourself. -Sukecchi 14:04, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Right, you confused me becuase you said DP 17, implying "Big Charge of Ancient Pokemon", but you mean 16 right? As that is what bulbapedia lists it as, and I found the proof now. Sorry, I would have believed you completely straight away. So yeh, I'll add it straight back on! Gran2 15:18, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

This site is used as a resource for information. Talk pages are for discussion about how to improve articles. Not discussion about the subject the article is about. For example: In the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl article, the talk page is used for talking about making the article better. Not for discussion about the game. Now to use your edit as an example in the Infant article, you wrote on the talk page that your little sister is a "pain". This does not belong on the talk page because it does not help the article.
Also, I highly, HIGHLY suggest you use proper grammar and punctuation in your edits.
And just to get you to let it go, "The Pokemon Incident" as you keep talking about, is already talked about in TWO articles. -Sukecchi 12:47, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, you see, it is discussed on the talk page not to change the name from Jibacoil to Magnezone, but we're having a problem with a lot of Pokemon articles...anons who decide not to pay attention to edit summaries and change the names to unconfirmed American names, I'm aware that I should be civil, but when people don't pay attention in 60+ articles not to change the name, it's pretty difficult to do so. Hey, I noticed you were going after Lonniejnz55 for adding Jesse McCartney to the HSM2 page. Just as an FYI, you may want to consider using a template. See, the thing is...any guess on how well the game will perform would nothing but speculation. It doesn't offer anything to the article. I understand you're probably upset over this being removed....but I'm sorry. -Sukecchi 12:49, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Ok I understand could you please help me with things like this in the future im not as exprinced with Wikipedia as some other users are and I need a lot of help sometimes. P.S. This notice is to inform you that because many people have added their names to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon#Participants but do not seem to be active, all names are being deleted in an effort to find out who is still truly interested in the project. All you have to do is re-add your name if you'd still like to be considered a member of WP:POKE. Request reason:

So this is what happened with this situation. In Super Smash Brothers Brawl, it was revealed that Bowser can transform into Giga Bowser temporarily. After discussing it on the talk page several (and I mean that, it's been discussed many times) times, it was decided not to include Giga Bowser in the list of characters. He is however mentioned in the Giga Bowser section of the article.

User: Pluvia decided to add him to the list with a reference at the bottom. After directing him to the talk page by two users, myself, and user:The Light6, he had decided to continue with it. I asked for help from TheLight6 stating that I had reached the 3 revert limit...but he never came.

So it came to the reverting...inbetween each one it was discussed on the talk page why he was not on the list, but Pluvia continued to state that he had evidence that he was playable, which no one was contesting, it's just that the consensus that was reached by the editors who contribute the article was to not mention him.

Pluvia then stated that the opinion of "a few wiki editors" does not constitute not mentioning something. What about consensus? Consensus is a major part of Wikipedia, I pointed that out many times but it never sunk in.

I still regret my actions...and I have been sort of angry at the lack of common sense I've been seeing in the articles I edit...maybe if I'm not unblocked this will give me a chance to cool off for a bit, you know?

Decline reason:

The circumstances you describe do not constitute one of the exemptions that allow a deviation from the three reverts rule. Content disputes should be solved according to WP:DR, not through revert wars. — Sandstein 19:56, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Super Smash Brothers Talk Pages

Agreed; things are indeed going downhill. I think the most recent dive can be attributed, however, to the revelation of Sonic as a playable character and the delay both being revealed at the same time. In about a week or two, the talk pages should calm down to their normal activity level (though in Brawl's case, that's still quite high). The only user that was persistently using the talk page as a forum is Green Kirby; he's still new, though. I'm sure that if we neither feed nor deprive him of attention (finding that balance will be difficult) he'll find his way around the place. All of the others who used the discussion page as a forum are more-or-less one-timers, so continuing to delete those comments should work for a while.

Honestly, though, a lot of Wikipedia's article talk pages are starting to feel like GameFAQs' forums (including many of the discussion pages of non-video game articles on my watchlist). Or perhaps Wikipedia has just made me too used to polite (sometimes obnoxiusly so 8P) users that now the slightest incivility reminds me of the immediate-post-E32006 GFAQs SSBB board. Hey Sukecchi

I apologise for my continued acts of aggresion, and unessisary remarks. I have done several bad things in the past, most being unforgiving. Quite frankly, I'm suprissed that I have'nt already been blocked. I should, so it will prevent me from causing futher harm. And I can also tell that you don't like me that much, not that I blame you. If you're gonna respond, please do it on my talk page.Green Kirby 04:28, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Gay

I deleted that thing saying that you're gay. It's not necissary and may make other gay users feel turned on. There's nothing wrong with being gay, but putting it on your user page is'nt nesscissary.Green Kirby 01:28, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

How DARE you. My user page is mine. If I want people to know I'm gay then I will put it on my user page. Don't you EVER touch my user page again. I don't know who you think you are, but user pages are not an article for you to edit. You have no idea how much you have offended me. In short: Stay off my user page. -Sukecchi 10:21, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Sukecchi, I'm sorry this has happened. I agree it is unacceptable and extend my sympathy to you feeling offended. It might help to remember that Green Kirby is 13; don't take what he says too seriously. Just a suggestion, and not meant to minimize your emotions. Sincerely, chaser - t 10:57, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Please stop posting on his talk page. Saying this is "punishment" and that he's "paying the price" is counterproductive. He may turn out to be a productive editor, but giving him more grief doesn't help right now.--chaser - t 17:50, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Of course I'll use it, thanks, buku~! -Sukecchi 09:43, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Hey

Look Sukecchi, I'm sorry that I offended you so much, but you really need to improve your attitude. This morning chaser took off my real name on my user page and I did'nt say something like "HOW DARE YOU! MY USER PAGE IS MINE! Well I did say that but I was just kidding. And then you told chaser to get me under control. Well, if you want me to stay out of your buiness, you should stay out of mine. That said, if you want to help me, you can. But you have to understand that when you said that last thing on my article, I got pretty pist off. There is nothing wrong with me, as you rudely asked. Lately, your comments on my user page have been rude, even before I offended you. I even heard one guy call you a pessmist. I'm sure you are a smart user. You were largely offended for some time, and I felt miserable for a couple of days because I could'nt edit. We're even. So let's just put what happened behind us and get on with our lives as users. What do you say?Green Kirby 12:40, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

What you did is completely different than commenting on a talk page. Learn that. I was already done with this at Chaser's request. You've been given a second chance. Don't screw it up. Read and reread things, and maybe you'll become a better editor. Chaser believes in you, don't let that hope fade. I know you can do it, you just need to remmeber the rules. Good luck, buku! -Sukecchi 15:24, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, your first comment to me that I appreciate. Um, I think one way we can put this behind us is to delete the article I made on your talk page that was offensive. Of course I won't delete anything without your permission, so it's up to you.Green Kirby 21:09, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Minimizing drama

Let's minimize the drama. Please click this link to take my talk page off your watchlist and let me handle this situation with Green Kirby's dad. I think I can de-escalate it, but it would help me if I can talk to him alone (to the extent that anything on a website is "alone"). Thank you.--chaser - t 15:34, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

I think that would be for the best. I find it hard to do though, since it involves me, but I will respect your wishes. I saw this request...and I thought about making one last reply...but then I decided not to. Please let me know how everything turns out. Thanks for helping. -Sukecchi 20:43, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

You appear to be unaware that the time listed on each signature is UTC. I do not know what timezone you live in, but 2:00 UTC translates to 8:00 PM EST. Please take timezone differences into consideration next time. Green Kirby has broken the rules (repeatedly) and has been blocked no less than three times, not including his sockpuppets. I suggest that you take a look at GreenKirby's edit history next time before spouting off at Sukecchi because you are unaware of the correct time. Also, you appear to be following the same pattern that Green Kirby did; contributing mainly on User Talk pages, and not to articles. I recommend that you focus on working to make Wikipedia better by actually editing articles, and not by commenting negatively to contributors. Thank you. Regarding comments on Brawl talk page

And say what in that section? A description of each stage? Wikipedia isn't a game guide. There's nothing you can say about the stages besides coming from different games. -Sukecchi (talk) 01:27, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Okay, we get it. No need for anyone else to say 'If it's not on Smashbros, it's not official'. Once is enough. -Sukecchi (talk) 15:57, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

These are your last two comments left on Talk:Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I am concerned because I feel that both of these comments are a bit harsh of a response to the discussion. Especially the later quote. If you're trying to discourage so-called "forum discussion" on the talk page, that comment is thusly not necessary. I would suggest rereading WP:COOL. While I don't think either of the comments are that severe, the both comment comes across a bit harsh to me, and the second comment could certainly be construed as insulting. I've also noticed some edit summary where you cite bad grammar on the user's comments. That is insulting to the user leaving that comment, and is strongly discouraged on talk pages. --Son (talk) 02:15, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

I see no problem with them. Granted, the second one might be a bit on the rough side, I see nothing wrong with the first one. Thank you for your concern. But you know what has happened before 'If it's not on the Dojo' gets said over and over again. Would you also mind showing me some of these grammar summaries? -Sukecchi (talk) 02:33, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
[3] This summary specifically says proper grammar. Others were on article pages, not talk pages, which are acceptable. --Son (talk) 03:09, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
