Conflict of interest

Since joining last week, you have made nine edits. These include alterations to the following articles:

• Jean Christophe Iseux von Pfetten, where you altered Iseux's title, citing his passport as your source. You do not explain how you have access to his passport;
• Tactical nuclear weapon, where you made a completely unsourced claim that the fact that they have not been used in the Ukraine conflict is due to the intervention of the Institute for East West Strategic Studies. Here, you didn't cite a source, but referenced Owen Matthews, a journalist with links to the Institute. I have removed the edit;
• International Foxhound Association, which lists Iseux as its chair.

This pattern of editing strongly suggests that you have a Conflict of interest in relation to these articles. Please read the linked material and ensure that you comply with the requirements for editing. I do not have any connection or interest with the person in question and am very well placed to know the subjects you mentioned being myself a member of the Chinese embassy in Paris and we are entitled to protect the members of our parliamentary institutions. I do not understand that I need to declare my COI?! I do not have any conflict of interest in this case. I do not personally know the individual in question and do not have any relationship with any institutions links to him. StevenGui (talk) 02:33, 23 January 2024 (UTC)

Also I work for the Chinese government not for the Chinese parliament therefore I do not have COI concerning an issue relative to the Chinese parliament? StevenGui (talk) 02:40, 23 January 2024 (UTC)

There is a great deal you don’t understand about Wikipedia. I am under no obligation to give my name. The vast majority of editors on here use usernames. As for your COI - that you work for the Chinese Government very clearly gives you a COI in relation to the Chinese parliament. And, as requested, please read the COI guidance. You should not directly edit articles with which you have a conflict. You should instead make suggestions for amendments on these articles’ Talkpages. Please comply with this guidance in future. You are right. I am very new to Wikipedia and respect your guidance. Iseux (YISI in Chinese pinyin) did officially registered under his passport name as Chinese parliamentarian which can be found in the public domain. Also several Chinese TV reports and articles published his passport with his story. StevenGui (talk) 23:04, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
