This is the first and only time I'm going to tell you this, if you continue removing this or any other UK certification your account will be blocked. If you haven't read it, the reference says: "To access, enter the search parameter "Kanye West" and select "Search by: Keyword"". Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it!   Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Katy Perry discography, you may be blocked from editing. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 21:03, 15 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Lady Gaga discography. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. You can't just pull some number out of the air, mention it without a reference citation in an edit summary, and then change an article based on your unverifiable assertion. The RIAA tells us what they've certified, so we need to check their database to verify any award level changes. "Poker Face" is still at 5x platinum, so I've reverted your edits. Where you got 7,000,000 in sales for Born This Way I can't even guess. Please try to make sure that your edits are actually supported by references cited in the same article. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 22:31, 15 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Rihanna discography. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Once again you made several unjustifiable changes in one of your edits. You removed several references needed vor verifying claimed peaks. You added certifications which apparently never existed. You added refs for the certs which don't actually support them. And you provided not even a bit of explanation for all this, leaving your edit summary empty. Please stop this unconstructive behavior. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 18:50, 16 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

David Guetta discography edit

Please do not insert New Zealand's certifications as the tables at David Guetta discography do not contain the peak positions of New Zealand. You might want to Wikipedia:WikiProject Discographies/style#Per-release which clearly states at "Bullet 8": Certifications of shipments or sales by recording industry associations. Certifications for countries whose peaks are not shown should also be left out of the per-release listing. Regards.--Harout72 (talk) 01:35, 12 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Lady Gaga discography edit

I wonder if you read and understood my lengthy note on my Talk page. I tried to clearly explain why I reverted your recent edits to Lady Gaga discography. Again, I think it might well be a good idea to replace the Austrian chart peaks with those of Italy. However, the way you have attempted to do it leaves the page slightly broken, insufficiently sourced, and improperly arranged. Your latest edit solved the problem of the red reflist notice by completely removing the non-existent ref you had added. With that step you removed even the pretense of providing reliable sources or assuring verifiability of your edits.

If you make edits which are useful, though not quite perfect, then I would be glad to help by doing a little fixing up for you. However, your history of edits, combined with this last attempt to brush the unsourced nature of your addition under the rug, makes me want to revert your edit (as either carelessly unhelpful or willful vandalism) rather than invest the considerable time it would take to "fix" what you've been doing to the article.

Please stop making this "halfway" change. If you can make a complete revision with proper chart linkage, working references for the peaks, proper placement of the changed column(s), correct numbers for the peaks, good citations (did you look at WP:NAMEDREFS?) for the certs with the correct certs for Italy, then I'll be glad to leave it in there. More than glad in fact. I'd even correct a peak or two for you if you make a typing mistake. But you have to make it easy to leave it in there. So far, it looks a lot like vandalism. And that's fairly easy to revert. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 08:41, 17 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

A long October edit

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Katy Perry discography, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You have repeatedly removed reference citations when they are necessary to verify claimed peaks, and you did it again here You also added another peak wwithout adding a new reference or verifying your addition with the existing source. You have done all of this without explaining what you were doing in an edit summary. And you have done all of this after having been asked not to do them. This is your last warning. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 18:56, 23 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

potential 3RR violation edit

Your recent edits seem to have the appearance of edit warring after a review of the reverts you have made on Lady Gaga discography. Users are expected to collaborate and discuss with others and avoid editing disruptively.

Please be particularly aware, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - eo (talk) 14:21, 28 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Edits to lady gaga edit

dont change ireland to italy, so you understand, or i will make this a vandalism! this is a warning!

--Mathiassandell (talk) 14:27, 28 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sportslover, as I tried to explain on my Talk page, you need consensus before doing something like this. (In fact, I was talking about exactly this change.) It's too big a change and will just draw reversions (as yours did). You should have provided some clear edit summaries for something like this, too. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 14:53, 28 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Still October edit

You just added (2 edits) two certification awards to"Man Down" on Rihanna discography, albeit without edit summaries. I was able to verify one of the awards, the Swiss cert, with the reference you reused from elsewhere on the page. I couldn't do that for the French award, though, because the ref you provided for it (reusing a named ref) didn't exist. In fact, there were big red letters giving a warning in the References list. I have partially reverted your edit and have removed the French cert.

In future:

  1. Please make sure you are adding a good reference to a functioning, validating source.
  2. Please check your edits before you save them, or at least, before you leave the page. Make better use of the Show preview button.
  3. Please use an edit summary for your edits. You might have mentioned "Man Down" for example, since that wasn't immediately evident from the diffs.

Thanks, — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 14:26, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Usher discography. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article.

In this edit you did the exact same thing as in the notice above, except that you did it to a different article with slightly different certs. Again, one cert verified (although it's obvious that you copied it from somewhere, complete with garbled dates) and one did not. What irritates me most is that you did this after the notice above.

This time you:

  1. Failed to ensure you were adding a good reference to a functioning, validating source.
  2. Failed to check your edits before you saved them, or at least, before you left the page. There was a great big red message down in the references list, and one of your added links didn't work.
  3. Failed to use an edit summary for your edits.

Please be more careful with your edits. Thank you. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 08:41, 31 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

November 2011 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Katy Perry discography, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 18:36, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Kesha discography, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 18:47, 6 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Lady Gaga discography, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 19:04, 6 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Without You (David Guetta song). This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You changed the certifications for the song to platinum for both Australia and the US (and even had diamond in there for a while), when the cited references clearly show gold for both countries. Your last edit, adding gold for New Zealand, was verifiable through the template-generated reference, but I'm almost think that was pure luck. Please make sure your edits are verifiable through the references cited. I'm really getting tired of cleaning up after you. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 23:54, 12 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Lady Gaga discography, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Same as above: sales figure contradicted by the cited reference, no edit summary. Stop it now. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 01:45, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Lady Gaga discography. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. You can't just add the name of a reference without actually providing the named reference itself. With no full citation, your addition is still unsourced (and has therefore been reverted). — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 11:48, 22 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Lady Gaga discography. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You added a peak of 88 in Australia for "Marry The Night", and your edit was reverted because it did not verify against the source. Then you repeated the edit, with the summary, "MTN debuted at #88 this week CHECK THE PAGE, IT SAYS IT!" It is exactly what we did (and exactly what you should have done before re-adding the bogus number and SHOUTing), even though the cited page covers only the top 50. Please only add information that can be verified against the cited references. You should be extra careful to double-check every addition; otherwise you may be blocked from editing again. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 04:07, 24 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Lady Gaga discography, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Your last edit changed the sales to 2 million, when the source says Born This Way sold 1.9 million. You once again provided no explanation, nor showed any interest in matching our content to the supporting references. This behavior is unacceptable and it's high time that you stopped. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 22:58, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

January 2012 edit

You've had enough warnings about your disruptive editing. It's obvious that you have not bothered to read any of the policies that have been posted multiple times on your Talk Page and you've chosen to ignore any attempts by other editors to communicate with you. You either do not care or you lack the basic competence required to edit and improve articles. Your most recent edits removed sources from Lady Gaga discography without any explanation or edit summary. Please take this time off to read Wikipedia policies such as WP:OR, WP:SYN and WP:RS. - eo (talk) 00:36, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
