Article Yadav

I am new to Wikipedia and trying to edit articles. Lucia michelluti in her doctoral research work has stated that Yadav community status is not clear and cannot be determined. Yadavs have been kings, zamindars , cowherders and peasants. So in the article I am adding non-elite as well as elite but some editors are reverting it. can you please review the situation and let me know what I am missing. The article does not look neutral. Please help. Also no disrespect to any editor. I am trying to learn Wikipedia edit.

Sons of Krishna: the politics of Yadav community formation in a North Indian town Lucia Michelutti. You'll have to discuss this on the article's talk page with interested editors and follow the relevant guideline of WP:DUE. —SpacemanSpiff 05:37, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

Thanks I have already started discussing. If possible please provide inputs.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kiranmayi pal (talkcontribs)

List of international cricket five-wicket hauls on Indian cricket grounds‎??? What does that even mean??? Besides the "list of international" bit, which I understand, though why any foreigner would venture to India to haul quintuple wickets, whatever those are, is a mystery to me. I should tag any cricket article with {{technical}}. And what sport with a silly name invents a technical term that rhymes with that silly name? I am depressed. Drmies (talk) 02:04, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

@Drmies:, there's been a fair bit of list cruft going on around cricket for a while now, most regulars on WT:CRIC have tried to do some level of clean up but it's near impossible since any redirecting or tagging as A10 results in "it seems to be a valid article" decline. We had decided certain rules on centuries and fifer lists but many of the new ones don't conform to those rules. —SpacemanSpiff 05:37, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
List of international cricket centuries by Kane Williamson is one example, there's a lot more from that time/editor. —SpacemanSpiff 05:39, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
"Fifer"--that sounds dirty. Do y'all have a list (haha) of the kind of things your project deems acceptable, a list you can easily point to? A10--yeah, I don't know. Are you pointing at the fact that frequently such lists are copied/forked from existing articles? I think anytime you're dealing with something claimed to be a new topic you'll have a hard time getting speedy deletion granted. It could apply but anytime something has a new title BTW, "lists" are totally the new way to do cruft. Every artist now has a list of accomplishments and awards; that is, every pop artists who participates in the award circus. Hey, it's a beautiful day here; I think the girls and I are going for a quadruple thicket today. Let's hope we don't run out of bats before tea time. Drmies (talk) 13:18, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
Hey, NOTDIR has a few suggestions. "Lists or repositories of loosely associated topics" is one, and "Non-encyclopedic cross-categorizations" is another. It needs to be argued that a cross-categorization is unencyclopedic, of course, but we do that in other places, like when race is connected to crime. Is it relevant that some things took place in Pakistan? Drmies (talk) 13:27, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
It's a bit more complex than that, a volume of fifers or centuries is notable; at WT:CRIC it was agreed upon to be around 25 a player to merit a list if and when the article itself was too big to accommodate it. These grounds in country lists are quite absurd for that. Most of these lists are also just unattributed copy pastes, that chap who created the Kane Williamson list was a notorious copyright violator here and on Commons. We've taken a few things to AfD in the past, but this is just a big fat nuisance. Just look at the history (and the deleted history and two AfDs) of Major cricket for a term that exists almost entirely on just Wikipedia and one other book, and see how the use of major and cricket on the same page in external publications has made them a reference. If you're ready to clean up, I'm sure Ryan ten Doeschate would buy you a Heineken when you visit your mum. —SpacemanSpiff 18:03, 10 April 2016 (UTC)
Pinging the good doctor. —SpacemanSpiff 18:10, 10 April 2016 (UTC)
  • As attractive as that sounds, I'm going to pass. I can't be editing cricket--I've already edited the Flag of India article and a thousand Bollywood articles. I'm starting to feel estranged from myself. Drmies (talk) 18:54, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

Deletion of my page

My page was not an advertising page. We don't charge money from theater enthusiasts for attending our workshops and teach them the art of dramatics. People go for advertised institutes which burn a hole in their pockets and also at times don't get proper value for money. We are all enthusiasts trying to help out people and give them a chance to fulfill their creative desires.Sayaksam (talk) 05:06, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

Sayaksam, I did not delete it as an advertising page. I deleted it for failing to meet our basic importance criteria. I had left a welcome message for you, please read the "first article" link on it as it'll give you an idea on what's required in terms of references etc. Happy editing. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 05:08, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

Harsimrat Kaur Page edition

I researched and edited Harsimrat Kaur Badal Page, it is no longer written in promotional way. Why are you then deleting the edited part. It is neither written in advertizig format, nor promoting, I am doing it for sake of knowledge sharing.... Tell me the main reason? --Snehilsharma (talk) 08:19, 20 April 2016 (UTC)

You have used your multiple socks to promote people and products here, this is in violation of our terms of service and you are likely to be blocked soon. You've already been alerted to COI rules, but have failed to pay heed. —SpacemanSpiff 08:21, 20 April 2016 (UTC)

Flying Fox Jodhpur

@SpacemanSpiff,

I think that you have mistakenly deleted the page of Flying Fox Jodhpur. I am not able to get the reason behind it. I have only added useful information regarding the article and not used any promotional external links in that. Please give me the current reason for deletion. I should have first been warned before getting it deleted. This is pathetic... — Preceding unsigned comment added by EpicTraveler (talkcontribs) 11:59, 20 April 2016 (UTC)

You have been given the reason -- it's unambiguous advertising. You've also been warned about COI and the required disclosures and processes. —SpacemanSpiff 12:07, 20 April 2016 (UTC)

Can you tell me the actual reson for delectation of my page — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.163.112.115 (talk) 06:21, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not a social networking site to create pages about yourself. Article subjects have to meet the notability criteria. You can create pages for yourself at Facebook and other such social media sites. —SpacemanSpiff 06:28, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

Flying Fox Jodhpur Speedy Deletion

Hello @SpacemanSpiff,

You have deleted the article created by me https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Fox_Jodhpur without replying to the contest the speedy deletion which I had done. According to Wikipedia policies there should be a discussion on the my message quoted on the speedy deletion before finally deleting the article. This is not according to Wikipedia policies. You can't directly delete the page as you have not reply or there was no discussion on the talk page regarding this. Please you should also keep in mind the policies of wikipedia before deleting this page --EpicTraveler (talk) 09:52, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

  • (talk page stalker) EpicTraveler, you state on the now deleted article talkpage (which I can still read because I'm an admin) that an admin told you the article complies with all the policies of wikipedia. I'd be interested to know the name of this admin. Also speedy deletion means speedy deletion, see the policy WP:SPEEDY: "Speedy deletion is intended to reduce the time spent on deletion discussions for pages or media with no practical chance of surviving discussion." Your statement that "According to Wikipedia policies there should be a discussion", etc, is without merit. I looked at the article, and it certainly is just such an obvious case as the speedy deletion procedure is intended for. Now, what about the COI disclosure that you've been told about on your page, as well as higher up on this page? And I see you've been adding a lot of promotional links to articles. You'll be blocked from editing if you continue doing that. Bishonen | talk 10:19, 21 April 2016 (UTC).
  • [[]] The admin didn't told me. The admin approved it and I got a message on my email id regarding this. You tell me that the admin who approved the article was a fool or so. And what type of promotional links you are talking about, They are only the references to the statements mentioned in the mail which complies that truth about it.

Please tell me if anything can be done in this case--EpicTraveler (talk) 10:30, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

(edit conflict)(talk page stalker) This sounds kinda like an Orangemoody tactic ... somebody posing as an admin communicating offline with a user. @EpicTraveler: you may have been scammed. I'd like to see if that email can be sent back to WP via OTRS or something. - Brianhe (talk) 10:39, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
(Many edit conflics.) EpicTraveler. I've seen on your page who it was that reviewed your article. That user is not an admin, and it's pretty clear from several notices on their page that they shouldn't be reviewing articles. I'm sorry you were misled by it.
As for promotional links, I mean links (and text additions) such as these: [1][2][3]. If you're in the marketing business I understand that it can be difficult for you to recognize promotional language when you see it. A simple rule would be: don't add anything that requires a link to Flying Fox Jodhpur or any other employer of yours. Brian, I think the references to e-mail are probably a mistake. EpicTraveler, you meant a message on your talkpage, User talk:EpicTraveler, didn't you? I don't think Virophage is a scammer. But he shouldn't be reviewing articles, and I've warned him about it. Bishonen | talk 10:50, 21 April 2016 (UTC).
Yeah, well AGF I had to ask. - Brianhe (talk) 11:14, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

Bishonen I think you seems to be the right person I am talking to. So, is anything can be done so that I can create this artcile again ?--EpicTraveler (talk) 11:12, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

I'm afraid not. The subject is not notable per Wikipedia's notability policies, as you have already been told on Charles Drakew's page. And even if you don't have a conflict of interest, I'm completely serious about the promotional links and text. You will be blocked if you persist in adding them. Bishonen | talk 11:24, 21 April 2016 (UTC).

talk It was nice talking you. I actually added the links because it was showing as an orphan article. My intention was not to put any promtional links. Can I do one thing. I will delete the 3 links and then try to create this article again and should I leave it. --EpicTraveler (talk) 11:33, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

No. Look, just stop. You've been given many straight answers, it's time to stop chewing over this. You obviously haven't even clicked on the links I gave you, which were to other articles, not Flying Fox Jodhpur. They were by no means orphans. You're just wasting admins' time. This is my last answer to you. Bishonen | talk 11:42, 21 April 2016 (UTC).

Recovery of content in page Thomas Saar

Was wondering if you could send me the content of the article you deleted by the name of Thomas Saar. Thanks

Mark spencers2016 (talk) 22:16, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

Mark spencers2016, I usually set a bit of criteria to refund such deletions, if you're unable to address these then you can request at WP:REFUND and someone else will evaluate it.
  • The article is essentially a copy of the LinkedIn profile, albeit a bit more wordy, so what is it that you want and why?
  • Can you state what conflict of interest you have in this, especially with regard to WP:COI? Have you understood and made the necessary disclosures?
cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 03:35, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Deletion of my page

Could you guide me on sustaining this page? Will rewriting content that was included in the previous deletion version help? Angreza (talk) 18:07, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Angreza, the subject was found to not meet our notability guidelines per the deletion discussion. Given that, I don't think there's anything that you can do unless reliable sources have found him notable enough to write about him, which isn't the case currently. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 18:09, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Please stop: talk specifics

you posted on my wall the following message "Please stop creating articles the way you're going about it. Article's have to include multiple reliable source references about the subject. You are just randomly writing things about different subjects and dropping in a few links and it is getting difficult for people to clean up after you. —SpacemanSpiff 17:31, 29 April 2016 (UTC)"

My reply

Please talk specifics and do not discourage other contributors. TO be useful please talk specifics about each article on the those articles itself and work in a COLLABORATIVE PROGRESSIVE-IMPROVEMENT mode, and do not drop random generic comments on my wall. Thanks. User talk:Thecutehero

Dont be a jerk,

its easy being an idiot, and hrd to be a leader hard to create go screw yourself. this is what happens when useless person with no power or achievement in his life, gains some review rights, goes around splashing the arrogance. fuck off. blocking people here may give you empty sense of control over your pathetic life, but this will not improve the quAlity of YOUR LIFE, YOU WILL STILL REMAIN AND ANGRY ARROGANT USELESS NO-ACHIEVEMENT LOSER. :) WINK.

Free tip: learn to be humble, encourage people rather than prove that you are a dog who can bark, try being a human instead of a human living and barking like a dog on other contributors. does i make u clock some points to bark/bn to raise ur number/points ...lolz... losers like you will not have any meaningful contriutors left in the end, this is not the only wiki anyway, we can contribute to other more respectful places. If you re going to be an arrogant barking dog, Im going to treat you like one. get that loud and clear, i enjoy contributing to wiki but unlike you, I have a real life with real achievements and real fulfillment, I rather be out of a place than be barked at by arrogant idiots, though I must confess there were some good editors who actually aided my journey, my advance thanks to them.

I WILL WELCOME ALL RESPECTFUL CONSTRUCTIVE COLLABORATIVE FEEDBACK BUT I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY MOTHERF***KING IDIOTS'S RUDE ARROGANCE. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thecutehero (talkcontribs) 22:10, April 29, 2016‎
