AfD nomination of Bodmin College Radio

edit

I have nominated Bodmin College Radio, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bodmin College Radio. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 10:56, 15 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Here to help articles tagged for rescue!

Hi, Sotonfc4life, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, which can be fixed and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to post a question on the talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Bodmin Community Radio

edit

A tag has been placed on Bodmin Community Radio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I have userfied this page to a subpage of your user space, it's now at User:Sotonfc4life/Bodmin Community Radio. As the radio station has not launched yet it is by definition not notable enough for an article. You can work on it in your userspace and move it back into mainspace when it is ready, I recommend getting some other editors to look it over before you do so though! It will help your article to survive if you ensure that, when launched back into mainspace, it meets the general notability guidelines. You may also want to read WP:ORG.   pablohablo. 14:12, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

... another thing ...

edit

... to be aware of is the Article Incubator. This is kind of like a userfied page with he benefit that others will get involved in improving the article. It's not really useful for you at the moment seeing as you can't have an article on a radio station that doesn't exist yet but you may find it handy in the future.   pablohablo. 22:37, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

NCB Radio

edit

Okay, the page is at User:Sotonfc4life/NCB Radio for you. Again, what we need for notability purposes is some evidence that the station has received coverage in reliable sources. That doesn't have to be The Guardian or The Times of London; even just a relatively short profile in the local newspaper would be a start. Hope that helps.
