Hi, I hate to be a killjoy, but I think your username will run afoul of the powers that be. You may want to consider changing it to avoid any drama. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 08:08, 28 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, but I sofa king. Don't care.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Anne Frank. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. VQuakr (talk) 05:55, 15 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Also please be cognizant of the three revert rule. There is a talk-page consensus on the "writer" usage. Please discuss it at the talk page. Also, this edit summary is nauseating and offensive. Coretheapple (talk) 13:36, 15 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Farts sometimes have that effect. So does following people around in an attempt to annoy them.

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Bep Voskuijl, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. If you choose to continue trolling Wikipedia, your account will be blocked from editing. Rklawton (talk) 11:37, 16 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

What the hell is wrong with you? Facist.Sofa King Insane (talk) 14:53, 16 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
I'd strongly suggest perusing the policy on personal attacks. If you continue the kind of comments you've been making, such as the one above and this one, there is a reasonably likelihood that you will be blocked. Coretheapple (talk) 16:10, 16 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because the chosen username is a clear violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane; threatens, attacks or impersonates another person; or suggests that you do not intend to contribute positively to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information).

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you think there are good reasons why these don't describe your account, or why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. And the umpteen variations of "Sofa King" are fine? Name aside, all of this over questioning the use of an archaic word? Somehow THAT'S trolling, despite the fact that I pointed out several sources that indicated it as such? It's sophomoric to lord over freshmen. And now you won't even let me create a new account? Lazy Boy King seems to be available.
I actually would like to see JzG's response to this. We do indeed have a number of "Sofa King" account variations; if the joke is tame enough for SNL it probably is fine here. I suspect the reason for the hard block was in fact behavioral given your unrepentant trolling, but you are not technically wrong that the block notification should reflect that. VQuakr (talk) 01:40, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Excuse me for butting in, but I think "unrepentant trolling" is a bit too harsh of an accusation. As far as I can tell, there have been two episodes (for want of a better word). In the first one, I agree with the user that saying both "diarist" and "writer" is redundant in the lead of Anne Frank. But the quantity of users that disagree on the talk page made it obvious that it was not going to change. In the second one concerning Bep Voskuijl, I also agree that "modiste" requires at least a wikilink to explain what it means as it is an outdated term.
I am not going to try and excuse the subsequent resposnses on talk pages, but I think the initial edits have been in good faith.
I note I have this page on my watchlist since giving the user some initial advice about the questionable username a couple of weeks ago. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 04:12, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
You've overlooked the subsequent edit-warring. Rklawton (talk) 08:30, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
No I didn't overlook it; to clarify, I meant it as a part of the "subsequent responses". AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 10:25, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
See WP:OTHERSTUFF - we don't necessarily go looking for problems, we react to the ones that are brought to us. Feel free to choose another name and one of us will request the change for you. Guy (Help!) 11:59, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
No thank you, I suspect a name change will only encourage the posse to nag me further. "Unrepentant trolling" has indeed occurred. But not by me -- blame the fruit for arguing for the sake of arguing. I don't need this. I would like to thank AtHomeIn for acknowledging the content I addressed. Respekt.

@JzG: On second thought, please move my account to "Lazy Boy King". I have a correction I would like to make unrelated to the Anne Frank articles.Sofa King Insane (talk) 23:04, 19 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

@JzG: Will you please answer me? Thanks. Sofa King Insane (talk) 08:11, 22 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Despite two requests, JzG has not responded to my username request so I'll try this. After reading the naming guideline I'm confident this new name does not violate any of the prohibitions. Thank you Sofa King Insane (talk) 09:08, 30 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure what instructions I need to follow (as mentioned in the blue box above) as it mentions nothing about my IP address being blocked. Is this necessary? Sofa King Insane (talk) 09:14, 30 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
